Root bound?

  1. Ph is at 6 in soilless. I fed 3/4 strength yesterday for the first time. There are only a few budsides just on one side. I have a solo cup with 100w under it so i was thinking it could be that it's getting more light from the bottom. If i stick my finger anywhere in the medium i break roots. It was lollipopped yesterday along with my other plant so i thought it could be stress but since only two pr three budsites out of about 75 on thop of the screen looks like that i'm kind of confused.

  2. Could be. What size pots? If you hadn't mention a root bound issue, I would have suggested an environment issue. Looks like heat stress

  3. I'm in 5 gallon buckets. I know it's not heat stress because the ones i posted are farthest from the light. Other than the few budsites everything looks fine on both plants. It's done stretching so i don't know how much more the roots will really grow. It's in a scrog so it would be close to impossible to get the plant out without cutting my screen apart. There is 100w of cfl's about 4 inches from the bottom of the affected budsites so i thought they might be getting confused.

  4. Looked at the pix again, too much nitrogen, you need to lay off for a while.

  5. How long have they been in those 5gal?  Are you making sure to let the medium dry out before watering?  What's the humidity like?

  7. It's been in 5 gallon since it was less than a foot tall. Humidity is 40-50% and i'm giving it enough time inbetween waterings. It takes 3 days tops for them to drink all of the water that's there. If it's too much N why is only a tiny tiny portion of the entire plant affected? Also the other plant is perfectly fine and they are on the same feeding schedule, same strain. Everything is fine except maybe four budsites. I'm ruling out Too much N. When i lollipopped them yesterday there were way too many dead and yellow leaves for there to be a nitrogen toxicity, they also arent burn't anywhere. Heres another pic and a shot of the whole garden. image.jpg image.jpg

  8. That is pretty strange, I would say stress is the most likely but to only effect part of the plant?  I dunno, never seen it.

  9.
You may rule out N if you want, I see clawing, indicative of too much N, and the pics of your plants look overly dark green, also indicative of too much N. Also, N does not always burn, simply looks like your plants are expressing. Not to say, you posted pictures that are a bit ambiguous in clarity. But, we're here to help, we'll see if we can get to the bottom of your issue.

  10. I was feeding 3 gallons of half strength jungle juice micro/grow/bloom. I did transition through the stretch it was 5ml a gallon of all 3 and just fed it's first dose of bloom nutes. I alternate between feeding and watering and it's always 3 gallons of water to a 5 gallon bucket. I'm really thinking it's the cfl's at the bottom being more intense than the light on top of the canopy. It's only happening right above them (the area all the way to the right) and it looks slightly affected on the buds directly to the left. It's only about 8 inches all the way on the right that are right above the cfl's that look janky. The leaves curled down on the edges before it started to claw. I know i'm not supposed to put pics up under a hps for plant diagnosing but i don't have anything i could really use.

Try a few pics without lights, just your flash and see if it works for better picture clarity.

I've been thinking about your issue. The plant with the problem may well be root-bound. Plants usually finalize their root structure about two weeks into the stretch, in other words, the roots are finished growing. Now the pot to the right with the problem could have used a little more medium, I see 3/4 inches that could have been added (minor). As large as your plants are concerned you're in a perfect position to force your plant if I'm right about your issue.

Scrog is difficult to grow if you encounter issues, plants sometimes can't be removed. So, keep your ph sorted and do this, you'll have to water slowly, and pay attention how fast or slow the water moves through your medium. observe below:

  12. It moves fairly quickly through the medium. The first gallon gwts soaked up as fast as it's going in, the second takes about 30 seconds to drain and the third takes a couple minutes. For all 3 gallons it takes about 5 minutes. I ran out of mix or i would have topped the plant of that doesn't have enough medium. I have some soil thats been sitting in a bucket otside but i didn't want to topdress with soil and have it throw my ph off. I can take a few pics with flash right when the lights go out in an hour if i remember to. They both are really close to being rootbound. It didn't hit during the stretch or i would have noticed it in the hundreds of leaves i took off. Since it's done stretching if it is a rootbound issue i'm all good? I'm still thinking it's the lights because it's still only those few budsites all the way to the right that are affected. Everything else is perfect except for one bud that grew a couple inches taller that's getting bleached.

Right next to it on the same plant everything is fine. It's not spreading or anything.
