So out of just pure curiousity, I'm going with an autoflower experiment for my new grow.Same setup as my last Bubba Kush grow just from seed now and autoflower so scrogging is a new strategy. 2. Ordered some beads from Herbie's and they were nice enough to surprise me with seeds as well. Seeds are in the cubes, in the dome, on a heat mat... hoping to see some signs of life tomorrow or friday. They'll stay in the dome till they outgrow the cubes then its on bigger cubes till they outgrow them. Lighting will be 1000w mh from start4 feet away. Vented reflector and recirculating 70 degrees. I'll spread them to the other lights as their size dictates.Sent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  3. 3 days from planting. Planted 5 of each. 5.5ph tap water in rockwool cubes for germination. A very weak foliar spray after that. All seeds sprouted except for one biodiesel but I was expecting more duds so Im still happy.Sent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  8. So 8 days from sprouting today... plants look great. Started up the co2 last night also. Ph 5.4(compensating for the rockwool)EC 1.8(high, I know but just keep watching... this is actually low for me... dont ask me how lol)Water temp 70Room temp 71-78Humidity 36%Light 18/61000w MH 4' awayCO2 1500ppm Pic of the plants today plus a shot of my spice rack ;)Sent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  9. So havent updated in a while but business as usual. The autos are coming along nicely. Just passing the two week mark. Today is 2 weeks from sprout and about 18 days from planting. The early stages are always the most boring, considering there isnt much going on. I sprouted two strains with the intention of having these be the mothers of my next crop. First strain is Critical from Royal Queen. It was a bag of free seeds I got with the purchase of the autos. The second strain is the trusty Bubbas :) They took off surprisingly fast. Depending how this Critical strain looks in veg will determine how much of it will be in the next crop. The Bubba is the trusty producer. Large crop and strong tasty smoke :) Sent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  10. subbed.im also doing a bucket and scrog grow. @ plants in each bucket, 4 buckets, 4000 watts. First one. Im a little ahead of you but plan on having to veg a little longer so ill be watching as our girls grow up together. (im not flowering autos tho) So good luck! They seem to have a great start!

  11. theyre a little behind the curve but thats my fault, not paying attention to ph close enough. For those familiar with rockwool and the alkaline swing that comes with them... its been a fun first two weeks lol. Just said screw it and put them in the buckets lol. Possitive note, the trusty bubbas are growing faster than the autos. Really, I only care that I break even with the autos... Call me comfortable with my photoperiod routine but I think photoperiod is easier... predictable...Sent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  12. Yay!! lol

  13. Biodiesel pic. Plants looked INSTANTLY better after potting them. This guy grew by about a half inch in 24 hours.Ph 5.9-6.2Water temp 68-70EC 1.8Air temp averages around 78... no higher than 81. Night temp drops to 66.Sent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  15. hell yeah token, im subbed

  16. Heres the same biodiesel again after 24 hours... shit... if these autos all start growing like this and stay this way the whole grow... my opinion may change. Its all about the final product too though.Sent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

So a lot of folks have been asking how I hit such high EC/PPM without issues... attached is a photo of my biodiesel sitting at 2.1EC(1500ppm). This will climb to pretty much double this before I harvest with zero issues. The explanation is long, but the short explanation is its microbes. Theyre living organisms, therefore they reproduce and multiply. This biodiesel started at a 1.7EC a week ago and already jumped to 2.1. The reason being is the microbe population grows. This climb in EC however does not immediately mean the plant is over nuted. The microbes multiplying would certainly imply though that the nutrient environment is symbiotic. Meaning the microbes thrive. Thriving microbes=thriving plants. My circumstances however are amplified in comparison to typical grows due to my co2 levels. The below link explains it best...http://www.co2science.org/subject/m/summaries/microorganisms.phpSent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
