I'm just pissed that indoor ecig was banned. I used to enjoy the micro G indoors at museums and such. There goes that one lol.sent from my motoX
It's really not that hard to mind your own damn business. More people should try it. Oh, and fuck Bloomberg.
I used to think that way but one day while playing poker at Foxwoods a pit boss told my cousin he couldn't use his E cig and we asked why. Turns out they banned it because an E cig exploded one day injuring not only the smoker but the person sitting next to him. So, I get that, if that's the case.
do you think bloomberg did all that himself? doesn't nyc have a legislative process that votes on these issues. if the vote passes that means people want the change
It does not matter if the majority wanted the change or not they had no right to do so. Democracy is just the tyranny of the majority. Using the violence of the state on your fellow human beings is immoral.
Mohegan Sun is my fav spot and I used to go all the time but I've slowed down to a crawl this past year. I do miss the game.
so where do you suggest policy come from? the tyranny of a minority is even worse, and tyranny of one person is the worst. and don't say anarchy because that would be tyranny of the strong over the weak which is all of the above forms of tyranny.
yeah i wanna try the sun.. been going to foxwoods since they opened and have a shit ton of comps, free suites etc.. so i never go to mohegan because of that. i'll hit you up next time i go.. we can smoke some joints and eat free steaks...
Jeez, Wasn't aware of all of this.. Doesn't affect me at all, living in the midwest, but I'm just curious what local New Yorkers think of Bloomberg? In the media, he has always come across as a well-respected guy and maybe a potential future presidential nominee..
New Yorker here. Most NYCers I've met feel "meh/soso" about Bloomberg, Definitely no love for him, but no hatred either. The man has one of the most difficult jobs in the world to do - run America's most populated city. Bloomberg is well-known, along with Ray Kelly, for perpetuating Stop & Frisk. S&F is considered their legacy, and not a good one, however, it's helped make NYC a safer place. http://www.cnn.com/2013/10/31/justice/new-york-stop-frisk/ http://www.nyclu.org/issues/racial-justice/stop-and-frisk-practices Remember: Both the NYCLU and CNN are Liberal sources, so you can expect Liberal bias. Try to look past that and understand the greater issues - murder, socioeconomics, status of New York/NYC, and family. No matter what teenagers tell you about Stop & Frisk, it's a successful policy that stops black people from killing themselves (much of the crime committed by blacks is against other blacks.)
So if you're just walking down the sidewalk a cop can come up and search you for no reason? Correct me if im wrong but that kind of sounds like profiling...?
as long as you look like you belong on Wall $treet it's all golden. homies need to get with it .. Brooks Bros = get out of jail free card.
