I dont thik the way Americans perceive guns will change anytime soon. Maybe restricting guns is the way to go until people dont think of grabbing a gun every time someone hurts their feelings. I do not know how to solve the issue. I do think for myself. I think gun control is a good idea at least until someone comes up with a better idea for lowering gun deaths. You cant say guns are not the problem and say no gun control and not give a useful alternative. I like what @[member="Rotties4Ever"] but Americans think differently. We dont always have to limit access to guns and limit the types of guns people can own. I am not forcing my views on anyone. I am not a tyrant. I voice my viewpoint to others and try to convince them to change. If they do not want to change then so be it. I like the idea that America is a country where the people can decide. If the people cant be convinced of my viewpoint then I have to live with that no matter how much I wish it wasnt so. I dont exactly want to take away weapons from the government. I would like to end war though but if the human race wants war they want war.

But y'know a rapist can make the argument he should be allowed to rape based on the idea that people shouldnt ever be forced to do something. Undoubtedly not all people will be convinced of gun control and as far as the government enforcing things go I agree with a lot of the laws except for marijuana so in that regard they are my enemy and on gun control they will be yours. All people should be convinced to follow a law rather than forced to. I believe talking things out is the way to go and if the majority dont want something they dont want it and government should piss off. I also believe people have the right to be safe and sometimes you have to stick a gun....errr....well I guess in this case knife to someone's throat to make it happen. At least as far as the minority is concerned.

As a lifelong resident of NYC, I have been alive during the terms of seven mayors. Bloomberg isn't perfect but he did not do any major harm to this city, and was a lot better than some others. NYC voters would not have elected him twice if he was that bad. Maybe he seems like a dictator to some, but he wasn't in politics for the money.
People reelected the people that put in the jim crow laws, George Bush was reelected, being reelected means nothing. The majority of Americans supported Bush when he invaded Iraq that doesn't make it any less of a war crime. Just because Bloomberg was elected does not make him any less of a tyrant.
Hey that very well may be true, the guy is certainly smart, his policies may even be beneficial to some, but using force makes him a tyrant.
There are tyrants everywhere, in a republic, Socialist state, banana republic, tribes, etc. I'm sure that there are even some Libertarian tyrants, or ideas associated with it that seem tyrannical to some.
