My first missile.

  1. Looking at getting a budget drift car. The problem is that I don't want/can't afford a popular drift car. Got any odd-ball driftable cars you could suggest. Btw I live in Australia so that makes it a little more difficult.

  2. My dad has a 4 door one of those but it has a ka24e.

  3. E30 bmw's are pretty low key drifters.

Toyota cressida's are nice as well

KA 24 has a bit of potential. better low end torque than the SR20. but the SR20 loves to rev! drifting while bouncing off the rev limit at 7500 rpm! excite! the KA was the Nissan workhorse for almost 20 years. every altima had one, most hard bodies and later the Frontiers mainly had KA's. but find you an old wrecked Sentra SE-R and pull the engine.

    i enjoy family sized drifting.

  5. My neighbor has a mx62 cressida I could get pretty cheap. But I don't think jz swaps are as easy as a mx83. I would probably try swap in a ls1 or a 1uz.

  6. Dude if you have access to a cressida I would totally do it, anything with lowering springs/welded diff will keep you happy for a good while.

  7. I think I might buy it and fix it up and then sell it and use the profits for a missile project

whatever it is be creative there is enough drift whore 2(slow)40sx's.....

  10. Fc would be cool and still pretty cheap until I have to start getting new parts.

  11. fcs are great and fairly priced i drive 90 vert...in aus you guys have alot! more rotary resources so new parts should not be a big deal...check out rx7club.com for more info on the fc3s...

if i was you id look for a s5(89-91) fc rather than the s4(86-88) fc

s4 fcs have an issue with the pulsation damper in the fuel rail failing and spraying fuel all over the hot exhaust manifold which you guessed it means fire! but does not mean it is a lost cause it can be prevented very easy..

  12.
I dont think I'm going to have the luxury of a choice between the s4 and the s5. I live in Tasmania so I'm slightly limited to how far I can go before I need a boat.

  13. ahh I seee well good luck to ya ! let us know too!

  14. Well I might have an opportunity to get something that would be drift-able but is heavy and would not handle well.

My friend has a uncel who moved away and left him a v8 EF ford fairmont

He says i could probably have it for $300. He has all the parts for it but then engine is at a different location.
Its not ideal but for the money its a steal.

  15. nice for 300 bucks i say get it shit swap a crazy engine in it..

    like a RB30

  17. what is the year? it looks nothing like a USDM Ford ive ever seen. what size engine does it have? you mentioned a V8... is that the 5.0(302) or the 351 Windsor? i dont know much about Aus/Tas market cars. i want more pictures. take some from under the hood... also... is that a little Ghia badge i see on the back next to the Fairmont name?

  18. well good luck with it! keep us posted could be very interesting if you through with it.

  19. Yeah its defiantly an Australian built ford. I'm unsure what the engine is because its at a different location. Its also not just a fairmont its a fairmont with a fairlane front end. better yet it has a digital dash straight out of the deep 80's. I think it is a Ghia badge.

I also thing this thing could be modified already, firstly because of the rear window stickers one is C.H. racing but the other might mean something special the other is crow cams so now im hoping that the engine isnt stock and has some nice cams on it.
It has been a while since ive seen it because at the time I was looking for something smaller. but now I just want to get my hands dirty.

    Heres some more photos.
