Yes, but it was a friend who was a girl, not a girlfriend. We lived across the street from each other in a small subdivision (60 or so homes). While there were lots of other kids, most were older or younger so we hung out together quite a bit from the time we were in kindergarten. Then as we aged we began to explore other things.
