I'm about a month into flowering on my first grow, so I'm starting to look into what I want to do differently for my next one. Smart pots seem pretty appealing, but my one worry is fungus gnats. I had them pretty bad this grow until I started killing them by coating my soil with DE. Obviously, if I was growing in smart pots I couldn't coat the sides. So, can bugs get in through the sides?
nah they can't get through.. they'll crawl underneath if it's wet though. but they won't go through the pot and into your soil.
