    Gday!

Pretty late to start a journal but figured we need to see some more Southern Hem action around here.
So for those of you that are too busy (/lazy) to have a journal, feel free to pop some pics up here when you can... no strings attached ;)

Hopefully we can entertain you folk up north while your enjoying your winter smoko.
Feel free to post pics, videos, nude photos whatever works for you.
I will try update every week or two, but am known to go missing from time to time.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for me, growing guerrilla again this season, organic as possible.
Soil mix full of plenty of composts, manures, native clay, moss as well as a few new things I'm trying this season (humates and a few other goodies to keep the microbial life happy)
Prepairing for a really hot summer so have the water crystals , newspaper , sphagnum moss and plenty of mulch down ready to go.

Another new idea suggested by an experienced mate i get plenty of tips off was to run some slotted ag pipe down along the bottom of the holes (and out the end). This will help aerate the soil/roots keeping the plant happy and also provide proper drainage when the big rains come in autumn, through the peak of summer I can either cap the pipe or fill with water crystals.

Got a bit of a late start to the season but hasn't made too much of a difference, weather has unusually been cold and wet for most of spring but not the worst for guerrilla gardens although growth has been a bit slow.
Next week is a huge change though getting well up into the 30s for most of the week, will be interesting to see how the plants take the sudden change.

Lost most of my Feminized seeds to gnats, but everything happens for a reason and pretty happy with the strains i have going.

Pics are over a week old, should have some new ones within the next few days.
Not going to bother with much topping , but have been doing light LST and plan on pulling the branches through the wire caging, always do some defoliating especially come flower.

    - Super Deluxe (SSS)
Absolutely love SD, best daytime smoko good for whatever you are doing.
Super impressed with Southern Star Seeds last season, was a class above any imports I had in every way, so made sure to get plenty of their strains out this season.

    - Liberty Deluxe
One of the crosses I worked on last season, the liberty haze grew really well around here so i crossed her with a few males.

    - Satori
Loved the sound of the description so had to give this strain a go.
Accidentally popped two in the one hole so need to work on their fencing, see how they do.

    - Random snow peas.
Found them growing in with the SD, been getting about 10 peas per week they taste mad!

  7.
Cheers guys, feel free to post your own pics whenever :)

They are doing pretty well, started at staggared times through first few weeks of October pretty sure.

Come across a few problems out there, so will lose a few weeks growth but if things go to plan should end up with much bigger plants by the end. Never easy guerilla style.

Quick pic of a mate who is lucky enough to be testing an upcoming strain from Southern Star Seed company.

    Enjoy the sun everyone

  8. New to this site good to see some aussie grows. I am doing a guerilla grow just wondering how to post pics and shit? Nice grow so far by the way dude

  9.
Gday, cheers & good luck with your guerrilla grow .
Im sure you've figured out how to post pics by now, feel free to chuck up a few if you want .

    ----------

In other news, ill get some more pics up this weekend.

Been busy as anything out at the guerrilla grounds , hot weather is here and my main spot gets hit hard this time of the year (top of a steep sloping hill).
All ag pipes sealed up till end of Feb, layed down sphagnum moss, hessian bags & extra mulch to slow evaporation from the soil (can't do much about sideways movement) but the next few weeks will tell the story.

Apart from that, had a little visit to the old breeding grounds and its the opposite story there (bottom of a gully). Plants haven't had water for a month and looking the goods. less sunlight here and more MJ predators

Just goes to show location when growing guerrilla has a few more aspects to look into rather than just sunlight, accessibility and stealthiness. Reckon next season ill upgrade location again

    Few pics, more to come
Bucket of my home compost that went out bush with me, been a while in the making, id be into it if i was a plant!

Super Deluxe, enjoying the summer sun, miles ahead of the pack

  10. The snow peas had my laughing lol. Great looking plants and you should be one happy camper once harvest comes!

After that all you have is hours of trimming, days of drying, and months of curing ;)

  11. I'm subbed, they look amazing. I'm in sa and the weather is horrible, I am happy I got mine in a bit late because summer has only just begun where I am. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this grow. :)sent from my piece of shit phone using grasscity forum mobile app.

  12.
    Gday!
Haha they were pretty good snow peas too actually... was just thinking where did they come from but I used pea straw mulch !! of coarse.
Yep all the good stuff to come man, gotta get through this summer first which won't be easy.
Cheers for popping in , pop up pics if you have anything goin!

    Aye Willbo,

cheers mate , just found you're journal good to have some other Aussies doing their things

  13. Living in the Norhern Hemisphere I have to wait until May to get started. Sucks, but I wouldnt rather live anywhere else lol.

Hey 420, good to see another one of these threads again, the super deluxe is a beaut
Started another couple of bagseed seeing as last year went so well :smoke:
This time round I have no intention spending a 2 months trimming so I've been pretty active on clearing weak bud sites. quick description of the plants; The one in the ground was always the faster growing plant from seed so I gave it the best spot. Haven't mucked about with it too much, only cleared some weak undergrowth that would never amount to anything. Took a good couple of nitrogen doses to green out.

The trash can plant was a nice green but squat little bush which was growing fine until i started to experiment on it. It's been LST'd, topped and pretty brutally pruned. Ever since I topped, growth off the main stems has been super weak and won't stretch. <--- would love to know if this is something I've done wrong or just that certain strains don't respond well to it.
Both sprouted ~17 September which I guess is a little early, tho last time i planted in August LOL, still learning.

Onto the pics (ever since i got a smartphone it's been so much easier to track progress)

  17.
    Drunko !

Far out nice plants man, well on track again.
Well on par with last seasons efforts. Did you have any issues with neighbours or all good?
So jealous of you people with big backyards!

As for the trash can girl, yeah some strains seem to hate being topped.
I don't bother any more as you can just LST and cut out the stress and add plenty more heads but yeah looks like your plant is giving all the side branches a go as well now that the dominant main stem is gone, will end up a nice bush .

Cheers for sharing , keep em coming !!

Don't really have much to show after that haha, but heres a few pics.
Been a week of 40+ really happy with how the plants have pulled through, a few burns though as expected.
Now a week of milder weather to get some growing done

Edit : pics arent uploading to computer, ill have to get more on next visit :D

  18. Gday,
Been hot hot hot here and not much in between .
Plants have been surviving rather than thriving, this is the tough 6 weeks in the area I grow in.
If i can get them through summer alive then they are in the best position to soak up all the autumn sun, drain off any extra rains and mature into nice plants.
If i can't get them through summer... well its all over .

Signs are good , after a killer week most of the girls pulled through nicely, the water retaining blanket that has been put down is no doubt saving the day (as well as the triple trips a week)
Who ever said guerrilla growing was easy

1 - Lib Deluxe : not much growth the last few weeks but not looking as thirsty, will be a nice plant come flower

    LD1.jpeg

2 - P Haze : suffered the worst from heat stress last week but bouncing back nicely, pic doesn't quite show all her branches.

    Phaze.jpeg

3 - Satori : all but dead two weeks ago, blanket is doing its job, starting to wake up

    Satori1.jpeg

4 - Some new little ones in a potato grow bag, more of an experiment as to see how much moisture is lost (or retained) via sideways movement in the clay.

    Babies.jpeg

Thats about it from me, will be back in a few weeks wish me the best.
P.s - no pics of the Super Deluxe this week, i forgot to seal off her ag pipe and wasn't hard to notice ! (can tell the ag pipes do the job and will be brilliant when the rain arrives)

    Hope everyones grows are cruising

  19. Just a few pics quickly, another grower down here that likes his SSS gear.
Cant get over the look of some of these

  20. What's your plan with the males?

I've heard really good things about Southern Star Seeds but don't want to grow guerilla and then watch big plants turn male.

If they had fem seeds I'd be all over them
