Legit or super sketch?

    I just moved to a new area and don't know any tokers or dealers here. A couple weeks ago I stumbled across a post on Craigslist with a title something like "Everyone needs a buddy"...

    So I clicked on it. The main text was some weird poem and there was a picture that looked homemade, like with Microsoft Paint or something. It was a yellow smiley face with a pot leaf and a phone number in super small font facing sideways. Naturally, I put the number in my phone, lol.

    I haven't smoked in a while and literally don't know anyone around here, but I have a week off work and would love to get my hands on a gram or two. I know the cops wouldn't bother posting on Craigslist just to catch someone who wants to buy a gram. But I also wonder if a dealer would actually make a post like that?

    What do you guys think? Should I text the number? If so, what do I say? If not, how do you suggest I find a hookup?

    i wouldnt rule out the cop thing, they;ve got quotas to fill at every level..wouldnt put it past em to try something like that.
    then again it could just be someone with a weird sense of humour with some good buds

    But even if it is a cop, could I really get in trouble for texting "Hey, can I get a g?" or something?
    Even if I met up with the guy, if he was a cop, how could he arrest me if neither of us had marijuana? Lol unless the cop brings some and I buy it from him...?

    I'll probably text the number tomorrow, I'll keep you guys updated. I know you're on the edge of your seat :p

    For real? How is that not illegal? I know they bust dealers by 'buying' the product...
    But are cops clever enough to make the smiley face/pot leaf/sideways phone number Craigslist post?
    Well maybe I'll text and not even get a reply. We shall see.

    They can sell it, but they can not allow it to go back into public circulation. Which means, they sell it to you. Then arrest you. Fucked up, yes.

    I think the most important thing to consider is local pot law. Are you in a state that hangs stoners or are you in a place that will just give you a fine or better yet is it legal? Now if it's a place that hangs stoners I wouldn't fuck around, the other two I'd take a chance. If small possession is no big deal in your state it is very unlikely they are doing a bust.

    Good call. I'm in NY, over an hour from the city so too far to go just to get a hookup from one of my friends there. I think the first offense is just a warning, maybe a fine of $100, for possession of less than 8g. So you're probably right that it's unlikely to be a cop looking to bust someone.

    go for it mate, but dont be saying stuff like 'can i get 1g' in a text. ask if you can meet up or something, but make sure its somewhere not too secluded, nobody likes to get bum raped and robbed
