  2. I've been there a couple of times, and lemme tell you it's the best city I've ever been to. Bomb kush, nice beaches, and sexy bitches. The whole city has a chill vibe to it to, plus amazing weather. Only complaint is all the crazy crackheads lol

  3.
Yeah man California's one awesome city!

  4. Marijuanas not legal in cali, For medical use with proper paper work sure, But its only decriminalized with a less harsh bullshit if your caught and not a patient.

  5. Weed is only medicinally legal and California isn't a city.

I'm not American and I've only ever been to Los Angeles once. I spent most of my time in the Venice Beach area and it was a neat vibe. But California is fucking huge and varied from north to south like anywhere else.

  6. It's a big place

  7.   It's not what it use to be but it's all about the weather.   Growing here isn't worth it anymore unless you have a place to send it but people are sitting on 100's of lbs right now since everyone and their grandmother grows here.   Don't get me wrong it is great here but not growing for profit or making good money unless your a specialist in something.  I'm sure everyplace is tough now but California is getting ridiculous!  I've lived here all my life and would never leave (maybe). I think if I were to move here from another state I would NEED to be financially stable before moving or have a job ready.  People move here in hopes to grow and make it big but that never happens because there were 100k people who thought that 10 years ago..   All in all if you can make 3500 a month in a low job market you'll be OK.

  8. Cali is the shit!! Nothing compares

    ---where the fiends at?!---

I've lived all over California. Where do you want to live?

I can probably tell you a little of the pros and cons of each place.

  11. I just moved to Los Angeles from South Carolina about 3 months ago and I'm loving it. LA is a lot of fun, there is always something interesting happening and the weather is always beautiful. Its in the 70s and I'm eating my lunch outside today. The only downside so far is the cost of living. I pay about twice as much for rent here.

  14. I had planned on moving for awhile, but it kind of happened suddenly. I found a job out here, put in my two weeks at my old place, sold everything I owned except for my car, clothes, and laptop and drove out here. And yea, twice as much for half the apartment, at least in my case. The cost may be lower depending on where you move.

I have lived in San Diego- I was born there. LOVE the zoo, Balboa Park, the beaches. Hated the craziness, the traffic, the smog, finding needles on the ground, and the last straw was the SWAT team taking down a guy at an apartment around the corner!

We moved to middle California to a rice farm in Maxwell that relatives owned- Don't even bother!  The hubby and I used to hold mosquito killing contests.

We moved to Newell - LOUSY WATER, high prices at the store/gas station- only saving grace was it was near OIT where my hubby was going to school.

Then we moved to our present place- good water, reasonable neighbors (One is a former student- lol), and the local dispensary owner likes me, so if I buy a gram, I get closer to two! :smoke: Since I live near a small town, traffic is light.  Not too much to do here in the boonies, but we make our own fun!  If you enjoy winter sports, McCloud isn't that far from my home. Summer is just gorgeous and we have lakes near by.  Come fall, the berries and wild fruit trees are covered with fruit. (My picking partner was in the hospital this year, so I didn't get any berries to freeze. It just isn't as much fun picking alone.)

Rents are very high in the cities, but lower in the boonies. I am paying $700 for a 4 bedroom double-wide trailer- I have a yard with a "postage stamp" garden and my chickens. Gas is $3.75 here, but if you go up to Oregon it is $3.16 (hubby had a doctor's appointment in Oregon last week). You do your big shopping trips in Oregon (except for fresh  fruits) if you are close enough to the border, no sales tax and the difference in gas prices makes it worth the trip! :yay:

  17. Sounds amazing, I was looking around Redding and Yreka, how are they?

  18. The rural cops can vary greatly- some are cool, some are not. But with MMJ they are being forced to relax their views

Friend of mine had some nice plants on her back porch, but she ended up in the hospital with some serious health issues.  Cops came over because my friend's space-case sister left the doors and windows all open to "air it out", and drove off for a while- neighbors thought someone had broken in.  The cops were checking things out when the sister came back. All they did was ask if she had a card, she did, and told her it wasn't wise to leave the house open and empty like that! And then they left, walking right past the plants. This sort of thing is becoming more common, as long as you have a reasonable number of plants.

I personally prefer smaller rural towns like Yreka to bigger ones like Redding. City traffic just is not my cup of tea! Where I am, I hear, maybe, 1 siren a day. I love the peace and quiet!  But I think most younger tokers would prefer living in, or near Redding,- there is far more to do, and many more job opportunities. Yreka is prety well "dead", when it comes to jobs.  I would suggest checking out Craigslist for info on rental prices, and such.
