Life is too short Take the long road

  1. I lived my life in the fast lane, no slowing down.  In the fast lane there's never any place to stop.  You go until you crash.  Those crashes set you back or they can end your life.  You never see them coming.  It's just a regular day until it happens.  The fast lane will never bring you to where you want to go, not any faster than someone taking their time.  All it will bring you closer to is death, closer to a crash and you're hitting hard.  Every crash makes it harder to get the engine running, then you start to see smoke, then you know there's nothing left.

Take everything step by step and moment by moment.  Don't let time consume you.  Remember the fast lane is not going to take you to where you want to go.  You'll see it and you'll be going so fast that you don't have time to stop.  You'll pass it right by.  When you do stop it won't be because you wanted it to stop.

Don't think about something just once.  Think about it 2 or 3 times and make sure you're doing something that's in your best interest.  In the end it's all about you.  Respect others but most importantly respect yourself.  Don't surround yourself with people who ride in the fast lane, surround yourself with people with goals, people who aren't trying to get to the end in a hurry.  Enjoy your time and manage your time well.

    THINK.

  2. Why cant i copy and paste this. It made me think differently

  3. I feel the same way man. I'm turning 20 in a few days and it's really fucking with me. The way I see it, I've already lived through 1/4 - 1/3 of my life. And then I'm gonna die. That's fucking scary to me. Time seems to be flying by so quick.

Slow the fuck down. Enjoy every fucking moment you have. You've got one shot at this. Because, before you know it, you'll be an old man/woman and you'll be looking back like wtf happened. I know I'm not that old, but I already feel like I'm running out of time.

  4. I think about this all the time..the best you can do is think about some type of afterlife.

  5. Easier said than done, I think. I'm more of a logical kind of dude. I understand that shit is the way it is because of science. Random events and shit. So I don't believe in an afterlife. But that doesn't mean I'm not looking for answers. I want there to be something after this. I don't want to work hard, develop relationships, learn so much, just to die and stop existing. I've read so many different theories about what's going to happen when we die, and that one just seems the most logical to me.

  6. No amount of science or logic can solve an unanswerable question.

I just turned 20 a few days ago and I have a bunch of cool stories and experiences, but I have almost no money and it's like what am I doing?  Need to accomplish something this year  :smoking:

  8. Totally. I definitely don't disagree with that. There's so much shit we don't know. Like the universe for example. It's either endless, or its not. And both are fucking terrifying and just completely mind blowing. Just shit like that. You kinda have to wonder if there is some sort of higher being. And I totally don't blame people for believing there is. Shit, at least they have something to look forward to. I feel like life is just flying by and then I'm not gonna exist anymore. It's just so trippy to think about that.

  9. Lol right?? I feel the same way. I look back on my life and it's like yeah I have done a lot of crazy shit, but at this time life is just whatever. I feel like I'm not really putting myself out there and doing things to my gull potential. I know that's all on me though too. But I always look back to my childhood wishing I still had all of that time.

  10.
I feel all i've been thinknig about is money, and different schemes to get money. And its really stressful; not saying money inst important in some ways, but i feel for a goal just to get money isnt the way to go.  Also i think if your going to do something to get money, just do it, dont sit on the idea and worry worry worry like me.

Yea I've definatly been stressing over it.  Thanks man.

  13. I'm always coming up with ideas with my brother to start different kinds of small businesses and shit. It'll be something different every month. Right now we're talking about starting to get into lampworking / glassblowing. It's actually something I really wanna do but I just don't have enough money to drop on getting started without having any prior experience.

yea i feel you, my last idea was growing edible mushrooms and selling em. But my parents don't want em growing inside, and school is keeping me busy. I feel you need to choose one or two things and just focus on those, because there are so many bright ideas that pop up and one person cant do em all.
