Is it lame to basically copy a tattoo of someones thats in a band you like?

  1. I saw it on his deltoid area. I liked it. I thought it was my style. same coloring and location and everything. I think "making it my own" would be trying to fix something that's perfect. I don't have any tatoos, and there's one other one that I've considered getting that's def my own, but probably expensive and complicated.

so, is this kind of a no no? Should I feel like a douche? I mean, it's all been done before right. ...like throughout history. so it's kinda hard to be the first to do something.

  2. Screw everyone else, just make sure its right for you. Its going to be on your body forever so make sure you really love it

  3. I feel that if it's the same tattoo in the same spot, it seems like you're a huge fan of them. But if you like it, it's your body. Don't let other peoples' opinion of whether or not it's a "no no"sway you.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  4. I would think its lame but thats me..at least have the artist and some original touches

  5. a good artist wouldn't copy, they would do something similar.

people have the same ideas all the time, would be lame if you had a matching tattoo with a random guy

  6. Though I'd want to change it up a little myself, I kind of see it as hanging another artists painting on your wall. You're just doing it because you enjoy and appreciate the art (just make you sure you enjoy it a lot!), it's not like you're trying to call it your own. It's your body, man, get what you think looks the best.

  7. Add shit or change it up to make it your own.

  8. Since its your body and you probably will never hang out with the guy I guess it's whatever you want. I would be a little annoyed if anyone copied my ink though. Especially if I actually knew them.

  9. It is the artist with an original touch which  can be done similar.

  10. the tattoo artist will change it up if hes worth his salt. what tat is it anyway op

  11. Make it your own change it up than have the artist change it up the bit as well and it'll be good.
