Hey guys just wanted to try to get to know some more local growers. Let's see how many of us grow in the mitten. Feel free to upload pics ask questions. I'm located in southeast mi. Where's everyone else. I'll try to post pics tonight.

I got a critical jack ive been waiting to do how is stretch? The long flowing time has made me skeptical of doing it dont want a 12 week flower unless its bomb
3x. It's 48" tall I lightly lsted. Jack herer is amazing. One of the best strains I've vaped. Taste so good.
My lights come on in two hours. Will post pictures then. I bought 3 and received 4 free. Herbies had it as a freebie. So made two purchases. Two free each order.
Got mine free from herbies too lol..hope it turns out well for ya i tried doing a spicy white devil i got free too but it stretched a ton and outgrew my tent like week 3 so scrapped it (had too many plants so couldnt lst it enough)..still havent had a jack or hybrid n really wanna scrog one
That's the other one I wanted to try. 4 of the 7 are close to 48". 3 weren't as tall going into flowering and are only 28". My great white sharks are about the same size.
I haven't grown either of those before, I have heard great white is good though. I am currently growing some purple mr nice guy, blues, white rhino, strawberry, purple og Kush, sky walker og, romulian diesel, cheese dawg, mazar, and dumpster. Should be adding super lemon haze soon (a personal favorite) and a few others. Are you growing in soil or hydro? SignSmoker
I'm in soil. What about you? I would enventually like to try hydro. Just haven't gotten around to it. Your grow sounds very impressive. I saw your scrog thread. That plants huge. I still want to hear more about that samsara spicy white devil. Or samsara really. Don't want to pay for garbage. For my next grow I have some white widow x big bud. Then some Mazar x white rhino. Lemon kush too.
Soil also, organic only here... I grow for myself and a few MS patients so I am really picky about what I give them. I have been growing for a while now...but never did a scrog so I figured what the heck lol. That plant is about 3' around right now, I will be posting new pics tonight since I moved it into its own space. I have grown hydro, it has its advantages...but in my humble opinion for medicinal quality soil is the way to go. I would be curious about the Mazar x White Rhino, I bet that will be a huge yielder. I grow both of those strains and have no trouble getting 6 per plant with either of them. White Rhino is a good strain for MS btw. Do you have a perpetual grow going?
Not quite a perpetual grow. I do have a smaller veg tent that I can start ones before I finish. I just haven't yet. That way every two months I'll harvest. Eventually I'll get everything together. I just started back up as it's cooling down. Does anyone have any opinions on led lights? I've been reading up on the 5 watt chipset of the mars 2. Wouldn't mind 6 of there 1200 watters. I know they only run off 600 watt power draw. I still think they would be nice to use in summer. And if work well along with hps in winter. Anyone use them? I see a few good threads on here. Still would like to talk to growers that use them.
Not a fan of LED for flowering. Unless they are really short plants. Perpetual is the way to go, we have been doing it for a few years now.
Well my plan for them was to top till I get four tops lst those with hanger in the dirt and keep them under 18". Plus I'm only interested in the 900 watt (445) watt output. Or the 1200 watt (600) watt output. And of I go 900 I'll have 8 of them or 6 1200. Both or those options give me 3888 lumens per square foot and using 3600 actual watts. I do believe that perpetual is the way to go. I just have a lot of work ahead of me still. Lol. Like always.
At 18" LED may work for you. Our plants finish at about 4-5 feet tall and LED will not penetrate the canopy enough for our set up. Harvest weekly here, keeps us pretty busy but you get used to it. What size pots are you using? and are you using your own soil mix or a bag soil?
I'm using fox farms ocean Forrest with added bottled nutrients. Once I finish with what nutrients it have I'm interested in growing organically. This grow went ten weeks without nutrient and just now am I noticing yellowing on lower fan leaves. At 6 weeks I burnt them very slightly with a 100 ppm mix. I am currently in 3 gallons when I switch to led and smaller plants I'll be using two gallon. That way I can fit more in. Do you have any links to a good soil mix? I've read a few but still a little lost here and there. My plan with the LEDs is to have them: l x x x x l l x x x x l (l) being sides of tent and (x) being the LEDs. I want 6 under each two. Maybe 8. I have a 5 x 10 flower tent. That would get me 24-32 plants in ther kept really small. I've always done bigger plants and just hard to move them. Check for bugs/ disease. Flush. That's my main draw to organics. No flushing. Plus better tasting. I usually do a three week flush. So taste might not be to different.
That sounds like a good plan. I still flush my plants for a week, its just that much better...but you don't have to. I don't have a good link for soil. Maybe I can put together something for you though. Do you use Co2 at all?
I have my carbon filters in my tent. I have tried to add it. I do have a tank, timer, regulator and monitor. My co2 levels stay at 600 to 700 without. I was bumping it to 1500. Couldn't finish a full grow with elevated levels ,so can't say anything for it. I had to put my filters in the tent. I take it you use co2. I see in your sig. How do you feel about it? Strange question( maybe not strange) have you had mutant plants? I have a strange one that grew in threes and then it topped itself. I just read in a different thread they don't just top themselves. This one did. Craziest thing. It had an extra leave like it was going to grow a third top.
