Hey everyone! I've decided it was about time to start another grow! This will be my first grow indoors, had great success outdoors this summer! I'm using a 1000w light MH for veg and HPS for flower. Not sure about how I'm going to be circulating air, But I'm pretty sure my room as positive air pressure so I might just vent fresh air in through the window and out my grow room door into my living room. I want to use 30 gallon smart pots optimal harvest would be a QP per plant. Going to be using fox farms nute line, Yes I know its expensive and there are cheaper options. But I've just seen very good quality using their products. I want to try coco this grow and am looking for a good mix for that as well if anyone has a good one! Plan on low stress training, I have 4, 120 watt grow bulbs hanging low for maximum growth. Below are a few questions I have. Let me know if I'm missing any details. Will have pictures on my unfinished room soon to show you guys size. How to mix coco and with what? Should I mix MH and HPS for vegging? Is 30 gallons of coco to much or to little? Good indica/indica hybrids that have good yield?
So its been awhile since I've been able to log on to grasscity and figured to update this while I'm here. I didn't get the chance to purchase a new light yet, but I just got another job so I can fund this grow now. Currently have one female Purple Urkel plant growing downstairs. Its about 2 months old or so. I received the clone from a buddy who simply didnt have the room to grow it anymore. It was potted in FFOF when I received it, But ive transplanted it into a bigger pot using roots organic soil, EWC, Espoma plant tone, Blood meal, and am about to feed her some kelp meal on the next watering. So far no problems and shes super healthy! Shes potted under a 120 watt grow bulb and loving it. Getting a couple more clones and my lights soon so ill update you guys when I do! after transplant 2 weeks after transplant
So I ended up getting 2 more clones and sprouting a couple more seed. They are all planted in roots organic with pertlite and EWC mixed together. Fed the big mama some kelp meal yesterday. Shes looking really nice and healthy! 3 Weeks after transplant
citrus and menthol scents. Flavors range sour afghan(prickly but not overwhelming) citrus menthol skunk(cool and earthy) also the highest yeilder.
Decided today that I'm going to be re potting once more before I throw my big mama into veg. I'm going to make another supersoil with a refreshment of blood bone and kelp meal along with EWC and some espoma. Anything else you guys would recommend using in a fruiting soil? I was thinking maybe some bat guano. My clones are doing well, Just need to go get 120w spot grow bulbs for them soon, still waiting on a reflector and some bulbs for a 1000w light setup hopefully I get it this paycheck and bypass all these small 120w bulbs I'm using currently. - Looking goooood!

I am on my first grow so I don't really have advice. The only thing I may have done (which I'm planning for my grow) would be training it to lay a little flatter to get more light evenly distributed. I guess it's a little late since you are getting ready for flowering. Other than that it looks real good. Can't wait too see some flowers.
I would avoid those style of grow bulbs. Incandescent lights just dont get the job done. CFLs work much better than those. And you can keep them closer. You can use the different colors to veg and flower just like mh and hps.
Replaced the incandescent bulb for CFLs. Got another heavenly blessing clone, The purple urkel looks good, Found out she had a root ph problem so I just added some dolomite lime to her this morning. Probably going to bud her next month so I'm going to be feeding her a blood meal feeding to boost my P. Probably going to go out and buy a wing reflector soon because I have a 1000 watt ballast and bulbs. Eventually I decided I was going to get an air cooled reflector when I get more experience and the 10% increase in yield will actually matter. If I do get one I plan on taking 3 clone off each plant and starting another 6 plant grow by separating my room with a black tarp. Then I will bud out the mothers because I plan on getting all new genetics next spring/summer. I'll come back on and post picture when my lights come on Purple Urkel Sweet Poison Heavenly Blessing
Ph levels went back down and my purple urkel is having no problems! Mixed about 20 gallons of supersoil today using bone, blood, and kelp meal espoma plant tone rock phosphate dolomite lime pertilite and earthworm castings. My arms are killing from mixing for an hour! Hopefully my babys like this mixture, worked pretty well on my outdorr potted plants last summer. Decided I'm going to repot all my plants and veg for another month or so because I've yet to get a 1000w reflector. I was wondering if you can re use organic soil, and if so do you add anything to it when you do re use it? I'd like to use this soil for my outdoor beast I grow every year because I was going to use a 50 gallon hole this year for my super-soil so saving money would be great, with what I have tilled up and ready outside plus this 15 i'll have enough for her entire grow. Also thinking about throwing a couple more CFLs to the bunch, What kelvin rated CFLs are good for budding?
So today I went out and purchased my 1000w grow light. Shes fit to grow a 7x8 area so Ill have plenty of room to grow in. Bought a 1000W MH bulb to veg my baby's under, going to purchase HPS when I get some extra money. Also picked up a clone dome and 50 pack of rockwool cubes to take clones with, Got about 12 clones or so on my plants currently, going to take the 6 best clones and use them for my 6 plant grow. Going to take a PH test of my soil tomorrow and take pictures of my grow room with the light put up, and of my mother plants that are still vegging under 6 50 watt CFL. Looking forward to a long life of successful indoor growing! I'm so excited to actually be able to start a bigger grow.
I am totally jealous... Congrats on the upsizeing... I am just now looking to get my first hps/mh. Got real seeds in and getting ready to start. I am doing a bag seed trial run as my first indoor. Using cfls In a 2x2x3 space. I want to go bigger so bad already.
Your 1k wont cover 7 x 8, keep the plants down to about 5 x 5 if you can. Welcome to hid growing, i promise youll never go back. Just finished my first decent harvest since moving to CO. Any way good luck man!
And yes, you can definetly reuse organic soil. It gets better with age. You may want to amend with more compost or worm castings, or other ammendments if you feel it needs them. Is that urkel plant grown from seed, or did you buy a clone somewhere? Vegged under hid that sucker would have been outrageous. Looks like healthy genetics.
The clone was actually given to me from a friend, the place he got it from isn't really know for the best genetics but I guess we just got lucky. I'm happy I got a 1000w now because now comes the real monsters!
