What rides have you had?

  1. I got my first truck at 16, a little 2wd S10 that got 26mpg. Wanted something bigger and a 4wd. Saved up my money and bought a 1997 Chevy Silverado z71. Dumped a ton of money into it. 6" lift, 35" Nitto Terras, hollowed out glasspack (pretty much a legal straight pipe, had cats but they were gutted), 5% tint. She was cherry red. A beast in the mud. Damn I miss that truck. Lost my job and couldn't afford to put gas in her anymore.

Driving a 98' Chevy S10 on 3" of lift and 33" Nitto Grapplers, true dual cherry bomb glasspacks, 5% tint, cold air intake and a high flow cat. Get about 18 mpg now. In the process of saving up money to get a 00'-05' Silverado. Miss the room and the power!

  2. got my first car young, a '76 nova four door. traded it after a few months for an '85 chevy shortbed, unknown amount of lift but 35" baja claws and a snorkel. traded that for an ATV, traded the ATV for a '71 (i think) oldsmobile 442. wrecked that on a logging road up north, bought my first legal vehicle, a '92 civic cx. drove that until the motor blew and traded it for my first bmw, an '86 325e coupe. swapped a v8 into it, drove it for a couple of months, put the stock motor in and sold the v8 for twice what i paid. lost the keys digging one day, sold it for parts and bought a '98 chevy 1500 w/t with 4.3L. sold that to a friend and bought a '90 bmw 325i sedan, which got rear-ended within a month. drove it with no maintenance for 30k miles in six months before the timing belt snapped. bought a '97 toyota corolla and sold it to a friend after a couple of months. then i bought the '84 bmw 318i coupe that i still own/daily, and recently bought an '84 amc eagle for winter duty. but i'm currently working out a trade, my eagle for an '89 325i sedan.

i'm 23, and if i'm remembering correctly, became a car owner at 12. or maybe 13.

  11. 98 bmw 3 series auto94 Ford Taurus auto00 Buick century auto95 eagle talon tsi stick98 s10 2wd stickCurrently 00 gmc Sonoma 4x4 auto

  12. First vehicle was 79 Suburban. Thing was a beast, fucking killed on gas though. And it didn't last too long anyway.
90 Nissan 300zx twin turbo, awesome car :D I'd love to run across one like it for sale. Ended up totaled in a wreck.
96 Chevy Lumina. Worst fucking car ever. Was a full time job keeping that thing running, eventually ended up scrapping it.
Had a 2000 GMC Sonoma 2.2L, was an alright little truck, but had some suspension issues so I let it go.
96 Ford Ranger 3.0L. Decent gas mileage, four wheel drive, reliable, I'd recommend it for anybody wanting a small pickup. Destroyed.
01 Nissan Altima. Needed a car, it did the job.
97 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 5.9L Cummins, did a suspension lift on it, new exhaust, new intake, 32" tires, whole nine yards. Mudding dream machine I tell you. Gas mileage wasn't bad either, though paying more for diesel of course. I was in need of money though, so I sold it.
Got my mom's old 76 F-150 now :p this things been through nine kinds of hell, but held up well!

I have a Honda Shadow VT600 too :metal:

Had a handful of project cars as well, had a 92 Camaro RS for a little while :smoke:

I wish I had more on my list but I'm only 19. 92 Civic 4door, 1.5l auto. Slow as hell, but got 40mpg. got it for free as it had a warped head, but totalled it on the way to school. :(91 Ford F-250, single cab. 5 speed, 460 big block with duals and no cats. Sucks gas but will burn through 3rd gear no probLooking to buy a 68-74 ford pickup and swapping the motor for my 460, then selling what I have now. :D

  14. Those '70s fords were the best trucks ford has ever made. Lol the truck I have at work is a '79 ford f250 crew cab. It's a beast. Original motor and tranny have been overhauled 3 times, the truck currently has 820,000 miles on it. That's a 400 v8 with a 4 SPD stick.
    Nice list though!

  15. 86' Ford Bronco
    2000 Chevy Tahoe
    2002 Chevy Silverado

  16. Holy hell, 800k? Impressive. This one isn't far from the half million mark, and still has the original motor at that. Never really considered myself a Ford fan, but their pickups (that era especially) are pretty fucking great. This truck has been lived in, wrecked more times than I even know (most notably my mom running it into the ditch beside the driveway while stoned ), and I'm the fourth owner of it. Still kicking!

  17. '92 Toyota Hilux. A hand-me-down from my old man when I got my license; drove it 'til I rolled it.
'01 Toyota Yaris. I didn't have it long because it affected my masculinity.
'88 Land Rover Defender 90. The first time I fell in love with a vehicle. My baby. Sold her to move abroad.
'86 Toyota Landcruiser BJ73. My current ride.

'98 GTP (first car, loved it with all my heart)
'97 Firebird V6 (hate it, still own it, though. Can't seem to bring myself to get rid of it)
    '02 Ninja 250 (eh...)
'84 Blazer with the 350 (my desert toy after getting rid of the rest of the quads)
'07 Mustang GT (technically... the wife's, but I bought it... Well, traded for it, sorta. Was a mix between trade and present, since it was a real good friend that gave it to me for $15k)
'06 Noble M400 (fun car that my wife totaled after one fucking month of owning and putting a 20k down payment on it. I made out on that shit, though. Ended up about 90k in the profit from that drunk driver)
'93 GMC Typhoon (this is where the down payment for the Noble came from)
'04 Jetta (bought this for $500 and flipped for $4,500)
    '02 Silverado (toy hauler)
'68 Rat rodded dragster C10 (traded this for the Mustang/ Typhoon)
'02 Camry (was the wife's before we were married. Piece of shit)

... I'm forgetting some, can't think of what, though
    Remembered one: '48 Studebaker Commander.
I have a couple pictures scattered about of them at various stages of ownership.
    A few I can find right now;
Or none could work at all... hang on

Here's two.. The Noble/ Typhoon. Noble picture was taken while I was in California to buy it, which is why the scenery is so different.

  19. Unless I'm mistaken, it was a totally different V10 than the Viper's. The Ram had 330 HP, Viper had north of 430. I think they shared the block... But that's it.
The SRT 10 Ram was offered beginning of the 2000's which did have the same motor.
Possibly wrong, but I don't think so.
Well... I suppose if I thought I was wrong I wouldn't post this... lol

  20. i believe you are right. if they were the same then people would be buyin up cheap ol v10 beaters and swapping them into stuff for that v10 powaaa
