Here is one more day 14 pic. Unfortunately I cannot share a pic of the back side because the cardboard has shipping info on it....security, ya know...reminds me of that guy who was doing weed seminars on you tube but wasn't too mindful of his surroundings. Somehow law enforcement picked up glances on the video of his neighborhood outside his window, and here's the kicker, mail on the table. They went through his garbage and sure enough he was tossing harvest waste. Doom on him but that taught an important lesson. We are not as free as we would like to be and some law enforcement boss thought it was a good use of time to wreck someone's life over a plant. Stay aware. #Free weed.
Keeping an eye on some browning of tips. Posted in sick plants. Doing nothing presently, will treat with knowledge first. http://forum.grasscity.com/sick-plants-problems/1257795-color-fading-tips-browning-please-help.html
Family distractions kept me from doing too much but I was able to pull together a quick brew of fox farm in ph'd water. Used big bloom which is very mild and I gave the plant a light watering. Color of leaves has degraded a bit more but not bleached, a small amount of brown mottle as well. I think I got this in time. I'll say though, big bloom is light stuff so I'll play this close. Time to zonk out, long day blades. Free weed.
Took a quick peek this morning. Perhaps slight improvement in posture. Leaf color the same but not getting worse. Will share pics tonight.
Day 19 - the bottom leaves continue to be compromised but overall posture is improving and color is restoring on leaves above the bottom node. Would like to see a little stretch. There is practically no spacing between nodes, the plant is very compact.
Day 21 - Three weeks. Wow. Hi watchers. It would appear the hope grow is bouncing back rather well. Picked up some height over the past 48 hours, color is good although I think my bottom leaves are shot. Temps are fine although I would like RH to be higher. One thing at a time. Next up is trading out a fan with something that has a bit more power, use the one traded out to be an internal fan, and I want to supplement the LED 90 UFO with at least one CFL. I am watching Ph rather well and I think I have it dialed in. I am watering a fraction of what I was doing before. I shocks me how much I was overwatering but Hope made it through. Finally, for those watching, I popped a bean for the solo cup grow. Whereas this grow will depart the comforts of the solo cup for a fabric pot, the solo challenge will go the full distance in its germinating home. It will be interesting because depending on Hope performs, the solo cup may go to flower earlier than I would like but it sounded like a fun set up. Oh yeah, one other thing. On the heels of this and the solo cup grow, I'll diving into autoflower varieties. Sounds interesting. Going to grab some variety pack or a build your own from individual seeds. Open to ideas; largely interested in diversity - something trippy, something stony, something speedy, and something unbelievable.
I have not installed the new fan yet but all is fine. Checked on Hope, she's looking good. One thing that is cool is under the main canopy there are these wee little weed sprouts coming out on the branches. The geometry is fascinating. I get this feeling it's getting close to getting her into the bigger pot. Just want to make sure I am well past the trauma of overwatering and under nourishment. Easy does it, as the saying goes. Input welcome.
Hi watchers. Two things were done tonight. Transplanting - it went great, just got to be patient but all turned out well. Hope was ready to move up in the world. Second, new ventilation and light screening. Added a new fan, moved a fan, did some electrical and added a light trap - then cleaned all the tools and soil and so on. A B C - always be cleaning. So, now on to a new challenge - I have so little height . I may have to transplant again into something shallow but wide. Damn, it's always something isn't it? Well. You gotta do your best. Enjoy the pics
4 week and going well. It would appear she likes her new growing environment. Color is improving and the droopiness from overwatering is nearly gone. Bottom fans are shot but I'm not concerned about that. Photos are not the best quality; I was rushed this morning.
Thanks for sharing. Debating if I will top or not. I have a fun history of failed grows. I am learning but am shy to try new things. I may just grow this out with LsT and try new techniques later. KISS LITFA
Week five and while it is a small plant with damage, it's still going which for me is a big deal. Performed my first topping today which was interesting. Just took my time and took a leap of faith that I wouldn't mess it up too bad. I also gave a light feeding; I think she is still suffering from malnutrition.
