Partners in Israel's Leviathan natural gas field have signed a non-binding letter of intent to supply the U.K.'s BG Group with an estimated $30 billion worth of natural gas for its facility in Idku, Egypt.
The preliminary agreement, announced Sunday, comes after supply agreements signed with Jordan and other local countries, making Israel a major local exporter of natural gas. Once the deal is signed and authorized, the natural gas will be sold directly to BG's Egyptian facility, which has the necessary infrastructure to liquefy it.

  2. The European Union agreed this week to push ahead with labeling Israeli goods made in settlements in the West Bank, a move that has alarmed the Israeli government; but now there are proposals to go much further, including targeting Israeli banks.

In a paper to be published on Wednesday, the European Council on Foreign Relations, whose proposals frequently inform EU policy-making, argues that the EU is in breach of its own laws and must move much more firmly to distinguish its dealings with Israel from Israel's activities in the West Bank and east Jerusalem.

European diplomats have long said that labeling is only the first in a series of steps the EU could take against Israel over its settlements policy, one that in financial terms is expected to have a relatively minor impact on the Israeli economy.

Under the changes, the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement will be revised and streamlined to remove some of the red tape at border crossings and expand market opportunities in the agriculture and food sector.
The revision will reduce transaction costs for businesses, support Canadian investment in Israel, increase transparency in regulatory matters and eliminate Israeli tariffs on a wide range of products.
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Tuesday hailed the agreement, saying it would “strengthen [Canada's] bilateral relationship” with the Jewish state, which he said was a key partner.
“Israel is a priority market for Canada and holds great potential for Canadian companies in a variety of sectors. An expanded and modernized free trade agreement will lead to a strengthened bilateral relationship as well as an increase in jobs and opportunities for Canadians and Israelis alike,” Harper said.

  7. Jews are buying everything!

    *Takes off foil hat*

No but in all seriousness, I buy generic for some drugs, but name brand for others.

  8. But how will this play into the hands of BDS activists?

Are edgy avant-garde college students going to start paying up the ass for brand name medication just to spite Israel?[IMG]

  9. probly not

But since you are new here you probly don't remember the discussion I had with jdilla about practical boycotts.

It doesn't make them hypocrites. No one can be expected to fully know 100% and avoid all israeli products. Its more about the principle. Avoid it when you can.

Its like criticizing a vegan for owning a house. That house took land from animals. Does that make you not a vegan?

  13. I've noticed that as well but the "old" J-Dilla stopped denying shill status quite some time back.

The real J will be back soon.

The Israeli settlers have firebomed a Palestinian house resulting in a 18 month old baby being burnt to death.

Major PR operation underway. Fuhrer Netanyahu has gone full hasbara visiting the family of the baby in hospital. He has expressed his outrage that a Palestinian baby has been burnt to death.

Strangely he had no issue with slaughtering 500+ Palestinian children in a couple of weeks last summer.

I think it's disgusting and shameful what the Jewish terrorists did.

There's no excuse for what the actions but surely you will try and spin this off as if all Israelis are Jewish terrorists.

Nevertheless, this isn't really the appropriate thread to start another diversion.
