You water every day? Are you sure it needs that? Letting the medium dry out is very important so the roots get some oxygen. More oxygen = More growth.

I would wait until you have 4-5 pairs of nodes before topping. I don't see the point in fimming myself. I prefer to stay in control. You can top as many times as you wish giving you as many growing shoots as you prefer. Fimming is not a predictable way of getting more branches. It's not for me

  2. Yeah I was watering it a little everyday. But since I let her dry out a bit it's doing better. As my space isn't the biggest I wanted to fim to keep it short and wide.

  3. Grow off? Lol http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1250776-Guide-to-easy-dwc-cfl-pineapple-chunk

  4. Sorry bruz been busy and lazy haven't updated for a few weeks. Still got mine under the 125watt cfl it's going good. I tipped it and bent the main stem right over to get some growth with the lower branches. Will put pictures up soon. Gotta finish my grow box off as well because it will be going into a bigger pot with the hps soon. And once it's in there with the screen it will be stuck until harvest lol. Can anyone help out with watering ? I'm going to set up a dripper ring and pipe it too my reservoir with a fish pump. Going to have a air pump into the rez too. should I set it up too water manually without a timer. Just thinking when I flower it will be from 6 or 7 pm til 6 or 7 am. I'll have to make sure I'm home too water around eight and then a water before the lights go out. Once the plant and roots are a bit bigger do I just leave it running until I get run off? Haven't had any run off yet because it would over water it.

I am using a root stimulator and a flower a and b . it's made by a guy at the hydro store and seems to be great so far. he advised me whilst growing just use the flower a and b and add nitrogen . so iv got small bottle of foul dark nitrogen that I use to the bottles recommendation. What is 0.5ml per liter. I use 1ml per litre of the root stimulant then add equal parts of the flower nutes . My ppm metre read 1060 I used for 1 week. then the last week it was at 800. Will make a new batch at 1100 for my next lot. It's only drinking 3-4 litres a week at the moment. The ph I'm setting at 5.8-6.0

Everything seems too be going good. the lights on 24-7 at the moment. Trying to use the big cfl to save a bit of power untill the plant gets bigger than the shade. Thinking about setting the light at 18-6 but just trying to speed the growth a bit

Because it's in a smaller pot iv been putting it in direct sunlight when I can.
Not sure if it's growing slow or not from memory it's been about 5 weeks since sprout.

The pic I put up is from a few days ago. And the close up of the stem is a week or so ago.
Will get a recent pic soon any response and guidance welcome.

  7. constant dampness will rot your roots. you need to allow the soil to dry out between waterings. an automated timed system isn't going to know when it needs watering. when you do water give the soil a thorough soaking with plenty of run off. and then allow to properly dry out, if it takes two weeks then so be it. a proper wet/dry cycle is extremely important to getting fresh air to the roots.

be careful of how much nutrient your using, those figures sound about 3 times what it should be

overall though things look good man

  8. Thanks for the response bro. So how do people have automated watering systems for coco? I'll stick with the put my finger in and if it's dry I'll water lol. Hmm the plant seems to be handling the nutes okay. I'll just stick with it for now and if it's not liking it I'll change .. keep an eye on me anyway bro lol

  9. sorry, coco handles moisture quite well so its less of a concern than I made out, I was thinking you were using soil. still worth keeping in mindbut not sso much of a concern

  10. All good bro it's coco and perlite. But I'll still water manually for the first grow

  11. its relatively difficult to predict when watering needs to be done from a time point of view. have you heard of autopots ? I have never tried them but they supposed to be an automated watering system based on moisture level. although I suspect it probably waters a little early

  12. nah never heard I'll take a look though.. I'll probably be better of doing it myself.. also with scrogs do I keep the entire plant under the screen untill flower? Then will all the heads find there way through the screen ?

  13. if plants are taller you can weave them in net. I put mine in and net was like 3 inch above tops they grew up and I wove them in.

  16. it's a little over a month from rooted clone. Yep just cfls. Only time I wish I had hps is during flower. But after this grow I should be able to get a 150 Wat hps which will work great in my limited space ( hopefully ). Lots of training and love helps me take advantage of my limited space.

This is my pineapple chunk seedling. I'll get a day on it in a second. 1384989179358.jpg
