This method is well documented, I photographed every step of what I did to this plant and two other mothers at the same time so the information is as complete as I could do. I also got some good questions from other people that were interested at the time. The Sativa varieties are not as easy to keep small as the Indicas, but you can have a lot of success both ways. When it comes to a mother I want as bushy and compact plant as possible so I'm not taking up all my veg area with mothers or have to setup a separate T5 fixture for mothers. 2 gallon is final pot size, but yes it is all in the journal. However I will answer all questions you have no problem. I will find the starting page for you.
I think if you start on page 150 and then just skim until you see photos of plants, cause I introduce Sour Diesel and Ogre mothers as I go. But look for photos after 150 and you will have an easy read. You will see the BlackWater under 1 cfl on page 150. Hope this helps brother.
One more thing, it is important in my opinion to lok at the mothers in all three strains because BlackWater is an Indica. Indica lends itself easily to this technique. Ogre Kush is also shown, she is a good middle of the road plant as far as stretch goes. Then you will also see Sour Diesel. Sour Diesel is the stretchiest and fastest growing plant that I have been around in a while. You will see what I end up with as far as space requirements for each different strain.
Thanks for looking an giving me an idea where to start. I have been reading from page one. The strain I'm growing right now is Kushberry. A hybrid of OG kush and Blueberry. It's not too bad on the stretch although my 4 have stretched a bit due to my lighting situation. But that should be solved today as my tubes are out for delivery so they should be there when I get home from work. I have no experience with CFL. I've used the T5s before. That 2 foot light you see in my room is actually a loner light I've been using for clones and practicing seed sprouting. It is the perfect size to hang over my rectangle propagation dome. All in all I should be able to keep the KB mother from stretching too bad with her givin genetics. I'll be looking forward to reading about your experience with sour D as it is one of my fav strains to smoke and I had planned on it being the strain I go with when I order beans for the first time. Just a few pics of the girls. Tubes still not here but should be at some point. The sixth picture shows what I guess to be some weird growth I think due to heat that plant got really close to the clamp light and had some curled leaves I think because of it. Not at all my man. It does suck. And so does fedex right now. Supposedly my package was delivered 3 hours ago and I have no package yet. Talk about inefficiency. Think they all milk it for all it's worth. I know they have shipping hubs but come on, give us our stuff.
