i mean everywhere i turn i hear nothing but bad things about the law.
they talked about all this stuff about helping us poor people when they passed it
but when they take it to court to defend it, they just say it is a tax (??????????)

they say i have to pay at least 80 a month for this thing. i dont have no 80$
fuck that im not spending my weed money on something i may or may not need
     i need my weed

if i get a cold. i tuff it out. if i hurt myself i ice it. if i really have to, ill just go to my guy and get some pain medicine
fuck going to a doctor to pay him $100 for a prescription
if i had the cheapest insurance plan they offer, will that cover everything for lets say if i get cancer? probaly not!

do i have to pay a co pay if i have the free insurnace that i was promised to me by the goverment when they passed it?

so i am thinking there has to be something good about the law. why else would they be supporting it and fighting for it.... making us sign up and get it?

would someone please tell me some good things about this law?

i must be missing out on something because all of these people who represent me in goverment are saying its good for me and i need it, and they are smarter then me riiight? they know beter then me riiight?
and then they say, well you dont have to get it, but if you dont, you have to pay a $2k fine...i mean what the fuck is that shit? if i cant afford it..how are you going to use the IRS as your means of collections?

  2. If you're too poor to pay a measly 20 dollars a week for comprehensive health care, then you may qualify for Medicaid for free.   If you don't qualify for Medicaid you will be granted an exemption.

The penalty is not 2K, it's $95.00 for a single adult.

You'd have to be certifiable to not use Obamacare, it's the best thing to happen since Medicare for seniors started.

  3.

you say its the best thing to happen....what makes it so good?

dont tell me its good. i been told its good. but i havent been told why it is so good

instead of telling me why its so good, i am told to buy it.

what do you mean i have to be certifiable? are you talking about an exemption they talk about?

  4. The exchanges can't charge more than 10% of your gross income for Obamacare, and if you're not in a high income bracket it will be subsidized by the government.  This insurance is comprehensive, and a very good value even when compared most people's job-provided insurance.  You can't be refused, either, as long as your job doesn't provide health benefits.

By "certifiable" I meant insane, because you'd have to be crazy to not take advantage of it.

  5. So a young person 'has the choice' lol to either pay $1000+ for something they may not want or don't rank high on priorities, or pay $95 more in taxes (on top of gas tax and every other federal tax the average person runs into).

Hmmm tough call.  I know the advocates are really counting on a lot of young people to 'choose' lol option 1.

  6.

    "Best thing since medicare."

Medicare has caused $39 trillion in debt. That's $119,000 per person, and counting.

  7.
It certainly helped out my family when my father got cancer. Also you have to account that having a decent healthcare plan in the US is gonna cost a bit in taxes. But I mean it's not like they won't just make the money to spend, the national debt doesn't mean much anymore and you can see that..

  8. We're in last place among industrialized nations for health care.  This is a national disgrace, and if a small percentage of selfish, thick-headed people refuse to pitch in and cooperate, then they'll expect the rest of us to bear the burden of responsibility for them if they have a medical emergency.

  9. I'll pay my own way thank you very much. You can keep your socialism to yourself.

  10. Who benefits from this?

    Because it isn't us.

  11. I don't care about health care for other people. We get taxed enough already and it's not my responsibly to care after people. Sorry I worked hard and earned it

  12. It's not even close to socialism and we will be paying for it ourselves, thank you very much.

And we are in last place, right now.

  13. Obama roasted Trump's butt and Mr. Hair just can't let that humiliation go -

  14. yeah i cant give you any good reasons for doing this, im about to get private insurance though just to avoid all that mess.

  15. Does anybody actually think that being in last place for heath care among industrialized nations is something to be proud of?

  16. You can do that, nothing wrong with it, but if you qualify for a subsidy under Obamacare you'll have to give that up.

Shit, everyone against national healthcare is plain stupid. IF said national healthcare plan was done correct, without any hidden agenda.

Private insurance is a joke. Its a fucking business. They're not there to save you money when you get in a situation; they're there to profit. If you work for a corporation who can pay the insurance easily, great. When you work for your self, when you own a small business, when you aren't part of the 1% or their workers, I can see the issue with private insurance. You need it, because you can't afford to not have it.

@[member="keeper"] Bro, you'd pay your own way regardless. Ideally, nationally, it would be cheaper.

@ OP what's so great about it? Ideally, cheaper and better healthcare for all. Get rid of private insurance. Get rid of the profit margin. I don't know what obamacare's plan is, so I can't speak to that. But we do need something.

  18. ^ You want to get rid of the profit margin, so you create something that lets the government bring in more revenue?

Uhhhh, I'm not even gonna start. You call everyone who doesnt like Obamacare stupid, and then say you dont know what it is.

    :bolt:

  19. ^ I never said I support obamacare; I guess rather than tiptoeing around it I should have straight up said it :)
I did however state that we need one 'without any hidden agenda' - it'd be nice, but we know that's not happening soon.

But straight up opposition to the idea of a national plan? nty.
