Can you clone a main stem at harvest?

  1. I wasn't sure if I wanted any more of this particular strain, but decided after clipping off all the branches that I would like to clone it. So, I cut the main stem in pieces while it was still in the dirt, applied rooting gel to one end, and immediately put four them in cloning trays under 18 hours of light per day.

    Will it work?

  2. Cuttings taken from a flowering plant take about twice as long to clone and also the thicker the stem the longer it takes.

  3. If it was flowering it will take about a month to switch back, but it can be done.

  4. Thanks! I think it's worth the wait.

  5. Does it have any leaves on it?

If you are just cutting a leafless stalk into pieces then no it will not work.
