Hello everyone, I didn't know what else to title the thread. It is another example of the politcally correct takeover I guess. No first Amendment?

Enjoy, ya'll. I wonder what would have happened if these people were white and used the word "cracker" or "whitey" who knows lol.

EDIT* oh here in the link, the full video with the audio of what happened is there

  2. The more people make a big fucking deal out of words, the longer this bullshit will go on.

That may not always be true Shamani because if people start to not care and not stand up, and not shun racist people, then racism could become subtley a part of the culture again and persist. But isn't that freedom? I dunno. I'm just pointing out.

  4. He was using it to berate her. :smoke:

Yeah but still I just hate these people like, if you think your boss is a dick, don't work for him. It's that simple.

EDIT* Like we should shun the boss, possibly, But fine him and give this person $280,000? OMGGG where is the free speech.

How do they know what the "worst possible word" to call "any type of person" is? Rubbish

  6. Freedom of Speech (unless it's not nice).

Guys, read the fine print in the Constitution, jeez.

  7. This article/situation isn't about someone not being able to say "the N-word" it's about an employer creating a hostile work environment. Same shit could have easily gone down if he called his female employees "bitches" or his male employees "faggots" or whatever the case.

Your title and post is an exaggeration and not at all what is actually taking place here.

  8. Finally, some sense.

  9. Oh here we go.

So you agree that if I hired you, and then called you names, that you deseverve $280,000 one way or another? It's a yes or no.

It's not a yes or no, you're just trying to pick fights by being all absolute about it.

Would I deserve 280,000? Fucked if I know. Would you deserve to be sued for creating a hostile work environment? Sure, I don't disagree with that at all. Especially when the hostile work environment you're creating is explicitly racist.

  11. i wonder if the lawyer is going to get another pearl necklace in celebration of the victory

  12. What I've been wondering is why the black race can have a patent on a word that no other race is supposed to use because it's considered racist, yet blacks can say it any time they want.  That's fine, but then whites, Asians, Hispanics, etc. all should get to have a word of their own that no other races can say.

Just kidding...see how stupid that sounds?  It's just as stupid when it applies to only one race.  The n-word needs to be either taboo for everyone or acceptable to say for everyone.

  13.

See it's not always that simple though. It's not like every single black person is cool with any other black person saying "nigga/nigger" as some kind of term of endearment. There are black people who aren't okay with that too.

A lot of times is just comes down to knowing what you can say around your friends without offending anyone. I know I can call my fellow female friends "bitches" and it's all laughs but I'm not going to walk up to a random woman and be like "what up, bitch? I can say that because we're both bitches".

  14. Exactly. Everyone should be able to say what they want and not be financially, legally, or physically coerced when they do so. The first amendment guarenteed this.

So people who don't like to hire people like that should fire employees like that, and people who don't want to work for people like that shouldn't work for them.

  15. Welcome to a country where people put a magnifying emphasis on terms rather the important issues around the world. It's just a word, why stress about it.

  16. See I can tell this man has heard the gospel of George Carlin!
