Well I have this old floresent light flotting around the house, small and idk if it even works ill find outtoday
Hps light is for the flowering of the plant. Not for the beginning vegetative growth. The hps light imitates the spectrum of light that the sun puts out in fall (red and orange)which combines with a 12/12 hour light/dark to force the plant to flower. Metal Halide is a popular choice for the veg. I suggest researching cfl grows because of the lower funds. Metal Halide lights can get pricey Sent from my space ship
You absolutely can and that's what I would recommend. I suggested cfl growing simply because of your funds. I would go with a hortilux brand mh. This will put out a decent amount of heat so an air cooled hood with an inline fan works best to control the heat. You ideally want your grow area between 70-80 degrees. Sent from my space ship
Ok so im looking to get a tall metal cabinet would I have heat problems even if I cut a hole in the top and put in a fan?
Chances are yes. I would research different people's grow boxes and how they are controlling their heat. Hid lighting puts out a lot of heat. Sent from my space ship
But with winter coming that should help ya also. Summer is obviously the hardest time to maintain temps Sent from my space ship
