Hows it going out there? I need some advice from my fellow growers..... \n My set up: I have an 8 light 1k watt set up. I'm using Raptor 8"hoods, 4 set up on each side of my room, running off 8 lumatek 1k watt ballasts. Each side is being cooled by a 10" can fan sucking air through the hoods and then they come together at a Y then into my filter and outside from there (Basically a sealed room). I also have a 18k BTU Minisplit system and I'm running co2. \n My problem is that while I was in Veg (same room). I had the system running at capacity for 1 week before i flipped to 12/12. Everything was running well temp was at 72*-75* humidity was not an issue. I did 24 hrs dark, then now on 12/12. Since then my temp has gone way up 81*-86* and humidity is also way up around 75-78. I'm not sure why all of a sudden the temp and humiditywould jump up so high? Or what would cause it to... system is still running at the same capacity as it was the last week of Veg. had the lights on at 1k 24 hours a day for a week and no issues. Now even when the lights are off its very humid in my room.... any advice would be awesome!!
Are the temps and humidity going up during the dark period but fine when lights are on? Also during the dark period is your AC off or still running. AC`s tend to lower humidity when running but also in flowering its normal for humidity to go up as buds grow and hold in more moisture.
Has your outside temp and humidity increased recently? DO you draw room air into your hoods or outside air? DO you have a separate intake and exhaust system for the room air exchange? Does the mini split AC remove humidity or just cool the air? Could your filter be clogged? The temps you now have won't be a prob but i would worry about the RH being that high during bud. Can cause many bad things to occur (like powdery mildew etc.)
