Minnesota rally

Discussion in 'Marijuana Legalization' started by jkwarrior200, Jul 29, 2013.

  1. I really want to rally in minneapolis Minnesota who's down?

  2. I am so down

  3. Or do you know of legislators we can contact? I want to be annoying as hell to get them to pass this!

  4. id love to, as i just received a felony charge for 30g in WI, kicked out of school so im back in MN. Get it legal so no one, including students working towards a degree, need to have their lives uprooted for smoking an herb.

As far as this medical movement, the legislature is currently BLOCKED! the police of MN are not behind the bill (and most likely will never be as long as the movement contributes to even 1 person using it recreationally. Governor Mark Dayton also will not sign the bill without police backing it, but has been encouraging the police and legislators to talk it out and find compromise.

    EMAIL LEAP!! (leap.cc)
    EMAIL GOV MARK DAYTON (http://mn.gov/governor/contact-us/form/)

We need to make the will of the people clear and show that while law enforcement as a whole is not for legalization, many of the individuals involved are.

  5. One thing I have noticed is that the "legalization" bills being floated about typically give police and other special interests about 80% of the tax take. When you compare to the laws on the books now in MN, you see that this profit structure under our ironic de-crim laws is also giving 70% to the police agencies, and 10% to the prosecutors on all forfeitures. Its a cash grab, and they don't want or need anything changed, even for dying cancer patients. It is no coincidence that MN as a state has no mechanism for citizens to introduce their own legislation. And when efforts in the state to do so were attemtpted over the years, I understand the police unions and the newspapers were the biggest opponents.

Our laws are pretty much set up to be bitches to the FEDS, unfortunately. Thus, no movement.

  6. Now is the time for medical in MN!!! Email gov mark dayton!!! He just changed his mind from totally blocking the medical bill, to funding 2.2 mill towards a study to see how it would effect us and if it looks good, he will over rule law enforcemnet and sign the bill!! I encourage you all to take the 5 min to email him and tell him that you support his decision to look for the truth!! i cannot stress enough how important it is to email him today if we want any hope of MMJ.

  7. ^^^ Bah. Stall tactic to allow time for Fed interests to secure all needed rights. Bunch of theatrics by Dayton. He's a "yes man" for this administration and nothing more. Dayton will be out of office anyway by the time the "study" was completed and the next ass clown would block it.

  8. I agree with floating_by. Not sure what you meant by fed interests being secured. I'm frustrated

  9. The Federal Government already has many patents on like CBD as medicine for varying uses. A lot of the "stalling" we're seeing has to do with the government and corporations all securing the rights to either license the production, or secure the production rights. And that is global, not just in the U.S. They know what this plant can do. And Obama made the patent process completely different as one of the first things he did in office. I suspect for this very reason- to secure cannabis for government/corporate interests. It's that important to human health (and there is profit potential in the billions upon billions.) We'll continue to be frustrated, I'm afraid.

  10. Medical cannabis is legal for homosaphens under 10 in mn. But not for adults. What's up with that, and why isn't anyone addressing this. What Minnesota has done is undermined all their propaganda from the past 50 yes. Its laughable. Address the facts.
