Here's my nearly zero cost homemade makeshift greenhouse.... about $25 in gas to pick up scrap materials I didn't already have. Da House ain't the "prettiest" BUT my girls like it.
love making use of things instead of just throwing them out! Great resourcefulness. Just a tip you WILL need two vents and a fan in there for air exchange. other than that happy growing dude!
Hey thanks for all the positive feedback! In answer to vostok's questions.. not going to install power or watering system. I find it to be more fun to water em myself and visit them. Power I really don't need. Answering milehighgreengrass... What my pics don't show is the "vents" I have. On the west side, I have a large "lower" vent & a "higher" placed vent, east side has a "upper" vent & the door itself is also vented. Most of our wind direction is west to east so air flow usually isn't a problem. But it is something to think about for next springs grow.
Hi 5 to you for saving money! I noticed you have the same thermometer that I have hanging near my plants. Keep us informed on the yeild.
That looks like crap, but I love it! congrats on doing it for free. I think your second pic shows a vent . Looks like one I saw in Iraq, lol jk. Seriously well done. My ghetto greenhouse was like 400$ but I had to fit 24 100g smart pots.
HEY!!! I resemble that remark! LOL Besides, if I had it too "pretty" then folks would be interested in it. Yea, I got 4 big vents as a matter of fact. Built em so I can either open or close them from the inside. But I didn't count on going thru a "jungle" to get to em. LOL Learning more for next season.
I just finished playing Fallout New Vegas you need to play that game, I think Beth stole your idea ....lol
Im bumping this thread but like the hell out of the recycled, reused makeshift construction. Very cool. imagine what can be done with $100 :
