I have 8 more plants i just started about two weeks ago and they loom pretty good. In your opinion how long do you veg plants for are mine ready to put under my hps or will it be too hot i want them to be pretty short plants my plants i havr growing in flowering stretched alot because i had my cfls wayyy too far i want to prevent that from happening with these new babies. Can i put these under my hps as well or should i keep them under cfls? Sent from my HTC One using Grasscity Forum mobile app
they look good, drop the cfl within 2-3" until they get to about 4-5 nodes then you can switch to your hps.
Thanks how close do you think i should have them? I want to prevent as much stretching as i can i want short wide plants
I would get them as close as possible without touching. I have mine about 2" away. Keep them cool and your bulbs can stay close. And if u want them short consider LST.
Tie the top of your plant heads (Lightly) to the sides of your pots \\/ ----------------- Tie here. I Keep the head level with this section. I I This will cause the plant to divert energy to the other head instead of sending the energy straight up and aking you a nice bush. i tried some hard LST last cycle. View attachment 121794
Is also great if you use a smaller light or don't like to do a bunch of pots. I use a 400w hid and like lst since the sweet spot for that light is 18" and got 186g from my last harvest. Can get a little tricky when they start really bushing out, but pays off in the end.
I lst all the way into harvest to improve airflow and light penetration. Just be gentle, and don't do any high stress training.
ok thanks for the input ive topped a few times during veg ill try a little lst now as my plantd are growing taller instead of getting bushy thanks
I tie it to the handles on my bucket and under it or wherever I can. I use Velcro for roses and tomatoes. I have a lot of pics under my grow. "First dwc... CFL to led" I would have posted the link but my phone hates me. Mine is right past 3 weeks
damn that looks dope and very healthy thats how i want mine to turn out my last plants shot up about a foot in 3 weeks i thought they were males i definitly need to try Lst with my new set of plants
