Pax by Ploom vaporizer not turning green

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by vapori, Jul 14, 2013.

  1. I've had my Pax vaporizer for about 2 months now. I've rarely used it... from time to time. So far, I would say it has gone through 8-10 uses. The last few times I noticed it take at least 2-3 minutes to turn green... now it just doesn't green at all. It just stays orange, and sometimes turns purple.

    What could be the problem?

  3. Om Tu-thurs the ploom website offers a free customer service chat. Inquire within and utilize your 10 year warranty. Green comes on when its fully charged on the dock or when the pax is at its correct temperature and ready to use.

  4. Ill tell you the real problem, this happened to my friends, it probably is a little clogged in the mouth piece, clean with pipecleaner and rubbing alcohol will work like a charm, also make sure its charged obvs lol

  5. if your on setting meduim which is orange and its showing orange when your trying to vape then your low on lubricant, just apply some slight pressure to the tip when thats happening so it can turn purple to work and then get the lubricant whenever u get the chance. its pretty common issue with everyone and its on there site, i hope Socrates told you about this

This guy is completely wrong. I do not see how he would think that this is the battery, if the unit was dead or low on battery, it would still heat up until the time it died, then the unit would flash red three times and shut down.

I was part of the Pax release and have known the unit in and out since August of last year. The orange is indicating your temperature. If you were to change your temperature to red (high) then when you are in the same scenario, I would bet your light would now show red. - This ALWAYS means that your mouthpiece is not connecting properly. This happens because residue will build up in the mouthpiece stem (silver part of your mouthpiece). If that collects to much gunk, then the mouthpiece will not be able to connect and your unit will think that the mouthpiece is out, therefore showing your temperature color instead of heating.

There are many ways to clean this unit and you will need to do this cleaning procedure at least once a week. (the sacrifice of having the best portable on the market) - The cleaning does not take long. Take a q-tip, dip it in 90% alcohol, take off a little cotton so it could fit, then insert the q-tip and wiggle it around ( i am sure you will see some gunk come out on that q-tip) - do that about 3 times. Next step, dip the metal stem of the Pax mouthpiece in that alcohol as well, with out drying that part off, insert the mouthpiece back into the unit, very rapidly, click the mouthpiece up and down for 20 secs - you are trying to transfer the alcohol to the outside of the vapor path where the mouthpiece connects where the gunk also can build up over time. It is very difficult to reach, you could use that method, or you could get an interdental brush to slide in the very small area, this area is pictured in this link: http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FS9pBBw&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNF6__zUVVU2FzxM42FPzZKUkQdaZQ

This should help you. And if you ever have questions, you should email or call Vape World customer service or Ploom. These are the main distributors for the product and will give you the proper information. Asking on posts like these could leave to incorrect information and could have you possible damage your unit ever further.

  7. I can confirm this. I cleaned the unit from watching a YouTube video and it seems to be working fine now. The cleaning process is actually much easier than I thought.

  8. I'm hoping someone can answer this. I have a pax2 and I found it in my drawer with two of the 4 lights on (purple and blue) but then the pax was frozen like this and wouldn't turn off or on. I put it on my charger and it seems to work fine but now when it's heating one light stays blue. Once it's hot they all turn green. Is this going to be an issue
