Alternatives to water in a bong?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by skeetskeeter, Jun 27, 2013.

  1. I recently got a bong and thought about experimenting with something else than water. I like using cold water but I wanted to try something else just to try it. I could care less if it ruins the taste of the weed bc I buy half ounces at a time so I'm smoking the same strain over and over again. I also don't care about cleaning it bc I have a large sink nearby that I use to clean my bong after I smoke and it takes about a minute or two. Anyway the only things I could think about using were orange juice, apple juice, and coffee. Has anyone tried anything in a bong besides water and did it taste good?

  2. I'm interested in this also. Dont want to mess up my first nice piece.

  3. coconut juice.....eat a ripe mango too before

  4. You can use most liquids that don't have dye in them because the residue from the smoke will stain the bong.

  5. We once added a tiny bit of mouth wash to the water. It was a very nice, refreshing minty flavor

  6. Ultra Divine Water ...

  7. When I was in high school I made a ghetto ass down stem so I could make a bong out of any plastic bottle. I would use vitamin water a lot, or green tea. I tried Dr. Pepper one time but the carbonation was kinda strange.

  8. Try orange juice. I've never done it, but I would imagine that it would taste good - especially if you're using a vapor bong.

  9. gasoline.

  10. Nothing's better for enjoying the unadulterated flavor of your meds, than pure filtered water [IMG]

I use the same RO water that I drink and give my plants; it gets rinsed and replaced with every second bowl. [IMG]

However.... there's also no reason that you can't use a good wine for flavor, or have a little fun with your water pipes, around the holidays, or other special occasions... [IMG]

It's not something you'd want to bother doing every day, but it's great fun for festive occasions, like holidays, weddings, birthdays.. any time you want to add a little color to the usual routine. [IMG]

It pairs well with 'Hello Jello' (dragon/hash-tincture/oil infused, jello dessert treats)..

** But be careful what you choose to put inside your lower quality plastic bongs. These can potentially stain!

If you've got good glass, it should handle food-grade liquids and coloring without issue, just like any other drinking glass in your house.

Cleaning trace amounts of sugar from a glass, is a lot easier than cleaning the leftover tars and residue from smoking, after all! [IMG]

Anyhow, good luck and have fun! [IMG]

  11. I have tried wine, that was the best one I have experienced. had some dumb friend try soda but obviously not cool because of CO2. If you get some essential oils, I bet if your really careful you could flavor your water up, some of those things are soo powerful you will feel high just using them by themselves and not smoking.

My wife is a massage therapist and has a whole kit. I think I'm going to try this right now. All I have is a bing style bubbler (between a bing and a bong) though so... we will see how it works.

  12. Back when I was in school I used redbull and it kinda gave my pasties that energy drink after taste

  13. Ok so here is what I have concluded from my research over the last fifteen minutes. Essential oils DO work, except there are some precautions.
-Don't just pick at random some of these things are FUNKY smelling.
    - make sure that you dilute you oil enough. when in this concentrated form, they all smell the same almost, it's when you dilute it when you begin to realize the true essence.
-Dabbing works better than flowers (for me) this could be because of the next one.
    - Oils will float on top of water and are hard to mix in so shake and mix well or if you are careful put the oils directly into your bong. (this method is risky because you most likely will have too concentrated of a solution depending n your bong size)

I think that this may work better with something like an alcohol extract, maybe maple extract or those sort of ones you use for baking that are alcohol based. They are not as powerful as essential oil however are much more volatile so they will want to evaporate with your weed smoke and this should flavor it better. The only downside of these extracts is when you get a big lungful of alcohol, not always pleasant.

  14. Water - Got me high
Water (with mouthwash) - Got me high and gave me minty breath
Apricot Brandy - Wasn't the best. Got me high and a slight buzz
Whiskey - Pretty good :D Got me high and drunk at the same time haha
Cranberry Juice - I did this because I read that it'll turn your smoke red. Bullshit! Got me high but wasn't a good high due to disappointment

  15. Try your own piss man, has a nice salty zing to it.
