1st aeroponics grow nutrient problems?

Discussion in 'Aeroponics' started by brooklynal, Jun 27, 2013.

  1. Im use to soil having grown a few times with success because overall soil is forgiving. This is my first time growing a six plant 45 gallon aeroponic system. I have 3 seedlings i pulled out of soil and transplanted trying to get them going in the system. Im using dutch nutrient formula and have no idea what to add to the water, how much or how often? My seedlings have been in it for 3 days and seem to be living but starting to turn a yellow/ lighter green color and haven't grown much just kind of standing tall. I have more seeds germinating in case these three fail and I gotta start again. But can somebody help me out with my nutrient problem as I have no idea what I'm doing and I wands try and save these little girls!!!

  2. make sure you add cal mag to the water to make it balanced out for you plants. ive had trouble before with them turning yellow early on because of the absence of cal mag

  3. pH balance your water to 5.9-6.2, add cal mag for sure, use RO water, and mix about half recommended strength fertilizer. use oasis cubes to start your seedlings (not the shit your florist sells, but the good stuff your hydro store sells).

  4. I use lp aero with general hydroponics flora at 75% strength following gh feed schedule seems to work just fine.
