How Many Grams Of Hash Oil Will 1/4 Oz Of Bud Make?

    not much at all.  with hash i give it a rule of if its good it will yeild at around 10% of what you use.

    If you do it right I've heard around a gram or so of oil per 1/4 oz of bud

    you'll get about a gram give or take if you have high quality starting product if you're talking about bho, but idk you didn't specify D:
     
    Its totally worth it unless you're paying like 20 a gram lol

    i dont kno the name of the method i'm using to make hash...it requires no heat...u basically just let the weed soak in a solvent (i use vodka) for a day or two after shaking for a bit, strain it into a pan and let the alcohol evaporate naturally at room temp in a dark place...

    Might as well just make QWISO with Isopropyl instead of vodka.  That way you'll get your product quicker.

    Sounds like a pretty terrible method. You'll get hash out of it yeah, but soaking it for days will make it some poopy black low quality crap. You could do a QUICK alcohol wash (about 30 secs) and evaporate the alcohol, but never use regular vodka, it has too much water in it. you want either everclear or 91-99% isopropyl alcohol.

    im a little afraid to use rubbing alcohol because i'm a coward wen it comes to chemicals i cant ingest...any safer solvent suggestions? im new to edibles and a relatively new toker (2 years.)

    if you're making edibles, why not just make cannabutter? 1/4oz would make a decent amount of some strong budder.

    If you allow all of the isopropyl to evaporate, then you are not ingesting any of it at all.  As wiggibow mentioned, you can use everclear, which is a type of drinking alcohol, but has alcohol content similar to that of isopropyl.

    </blockquote>i've seen isopropyl alcohol dry before and it leaves behind some kind of residue that im too afraid to put in my lungs. will have to try the everclear. i'd feel better using that since it can actually be ingested.

    no idea. but when i make edibles, i just make budder or i make some "Pot-cocoa" (milk & dark chocolate simmered with the nugs and then strained so just the infused cocoa is left).
     
    any time i've made hash oil it was just to take dabs, not for edibles..

    the residue is the little bit of water in the ISO. iso only comes in 70%, 91% or 99% pure. the rest of the content is water, when it's fully evaped all the iso WILL be gone leaving just a very small amount of H2O behind..

    I use lighter gas to make oil, you have to know what you are doing but it gives a good result.. on my best weed it gives arround 19-21% in return but lower quality weed only gives arround 8-12%

    Use everclear. Return is usually 15%-20%. 
     
    7g would give you about a 1g to 1.4g. 
     
    I ran 4 oz and ended up with 20g of goodness. That equals about 18% return.

    Freeze everything for 24 hours or more. Cut bud with scissors, don't grind it. Wash it twice, I do about a 45 seconds - minute each wash, while shaking pretty hard. Strain in a sieve, before filtering through a coffee filter.

    tap water leaves more of a stain when it dries than isopropyl in my experience, why would we clean our pieces with it if it was extremely hard to completely evaporate? Just do ice water extrations if you're that worried about it, thinking smoking everclear could be in any way healthier than smoking iso is just ridiculous
