    There is a residue, but it's limescale, which is actually from the 3% water in the 97% isopropyl.  You will see the same type of residue if you allow pure water to evaporate.  Since Everclear is less alcoholic than Iso, you will actually have more limescale residue because of the higher amount of water.
     
    I understand your fear - Iso definitely isn't something that should be ingested, and is a little scary to mix with your weed because we associate it as more of a chemical than drinking alcohol.  But, in the end, it will completely evaporate (minus the tiny tiny amount of limescale) and you will have the best quality QWISO.
