Good friend has cancer need tips

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Bigbax, May 16, 2013.

  1. As the title says my mom's best friend has been diagnosed with stage 3 inflammitory breast cancer, a brain tumor and a tumor on her lung. I offered to make brownies for her or just get her bud but i was wonder if you guys had any tips or anything

    some general questions:

    best time to use ?

best way to ingest thc (smoke vape edible ext)?

also I live in ohio and don't really have a lot of strains to prick from.

    thanks for all the help

  2. 1. Start her on fish oil(Omega 3&6) 3 grams a day. Start now.
    2. Take vitamin C, as much as her bowels can stand. She will get loose stools at tolerance threshold, back off slightly until it stops.Start now.
    3. Get Rick Simpson Oil ASAP! Start small and work up the dosage. 60grams in 90 days or less is the protocol.Start now.
    4. Look up GrannyStormCrow on this forum and start reading.
Smoking or vaping or edibles are stop gaps to make her feel better. Research! Learn more about this subject than you ever wanted to know. With current cancer rates at 1 in 2 for men and 1 in 3 for women it will come in handy later on.

     I wish her well.

  3. thanks very much!

  4. Bigbax, sorry to hear and hope all goes well.

    Harry,

What's the best way to go about #3?  I'm in Massachusetts.  My wife has thyroid cancer.  I'm on my way out to get some 3-6.  Massachusetts has legalized MMJ but it's not completely rolled out yet.

    Thanks

  5. If you plan on making RSO, Your best bet is to find a grower, or grow your own IMO.

  6. I just watched a vid on it.  Doesn't seem that difficult  Just need the supplies.  The vid states a full dosage is 60g?  A pound to make that much?  Thanks for the reply.  I'm guessing my wife would qualify for MMJ, but Mass isn't fully setup yet, grrrrrr

  7. "What's the best way to go about #3?  I'm in Massachusetts.  My wife has thyroid cancer.  I'm on my way out to get some 3-6.  Massachusetts has legalized MMJ but it's not completely rolled out yet."

bidzer, I can't be very specific because I'm Canadian and my knowledge of specific state law is slim at best. Read "ingesting Rick Simpson oil" in this subforum.Maybe give Clinton a PM for some options. Would it be possible to get to Oregon or Colorado?

There is a fellow on YouTube named Aamon DeGarth who talks about distilling the oil. From comments he makes I believe he uses a stoxhlet distillation process to get the maximum amount of oil from the bud. That may be more than you want to consider right now.
The most important thing right now is getting some oil for your wife and then maintaining a steady dose. She will be starting on a tiny mouse turd size speck so don't be freaked out by the 60 grams required for the full treatment. One step at a time.

Also look up Dr. Tullio Simoncini and his bicarbonate of soda therapy. Unconventional certainly, but then we believe in cannabis for fighting cancer. So who are we to judge unconventional?

Also get her on a good diet, there are two main schools, vegetarian or ketogenic. The common thread between them is no sugar, grains or processed food. If you can't walk out in a field and find it, don't put it in your stomach.

I wish your wife and you all the strength required to beat this.

  8. Harry,

Thanks for sharing this info.  We have 2 young kids so getting out to Colorado or Oregon for a extended period isn't an option.  As Massachusetts is in it's infancy on getting their medical marijuana laws settled, I'm trying to look elsewhere.  I believe we can get a card here if she qualifies.  No dispensaries as of yet, not until the end of the year.  I believe we may be able to cultivate until that time.  Need to do some more reading.

I wish it was just as easy as someone who has the ability to make it, I could just buy it.  I'm putting in alot of effort to understand what I can do to help her.  I have a young family and want it to be whole for a long time to come.

    Thanks

  9.   If medical cannabis is unavailable now,all the other therapies still apply.

The name of the vegetarian therapy is Gerson. It is exceptionally strict and not easy to follow because of its strictness, but has a very good reputation. There are several video testimonials on Youtube.

What is the timeline for legalization? Is your doctor on board? If not,now is the time to find one who is supportive.

Are there any support groups for medical cannabis locally? It would be worth it to reach out to members of the legalization movement for any help they may be able to give.

  10. Check out the "state reciprocity" sticky in this subforum. Rhode Island may be an option.

  11. I'm trying to have my wife get her records for a meeting on Saturday for a card. They said things look good for her due to her having thyroid cancer.

My problem would be to get her started on the oil as soon as possible, as I'd be starting from scratch growing. I'm looking to get a head start somewhere. Guessing that's where a care taker would come in handy? I don't know how that whole relationship works yet.

I'm looking into Rhode Island too, but I think you need to be a resident. Trying to verify if they take out of state patients.

    Thanks for the reply

Check out Shona Banda's you-tube "Live Free or Die" for how to make tiny amounts of the RSO! You don't need a 5 gallon bucket full!

If you can, get a "lemony" strain- the lemon scent is limonene which is a cancer fighter in it's own right. It is also found in lemon grass and makes a delightful tea!

Now I don't know if the cancer is an ID-1 type or not- it sounds like it, they are aggressive and spread like crazy. You should ask your doctor. ID-1 cancers are vulnerable to CBD (cannabidiol). CBD causes an amazing change in ID-1 cancers- read these!

Omega 3 as has been suggested before, is essential! You need it to make the CB1 receptors that your body uses to fight cancer! The average diet is VERY low in Omega 3. I take a mix of fish oil, flax seed oil and hemp seed oil.

Both Rick Simpson and I were the headlining 'star speakers' of the Cannabis World Summit, and we were asked to share the Big 4/20 day of the Summit, due to our track records with treating and even curing cancer, as well as other illnesses, with our medical oils! My medical oil video tutorials, Rick's interview, and his documentaries can be found on Day 5, along with some bonus footage from Rick. :)

If you're looking for Phoenix Tears/RSO, with improved bioavailability, less waste, and best of all, that utilizes a safe food-grade solvent, please see the concentrate tutorial below for an ethyl alcohol extraction, transferred to coconut oil!

Virtually any recipe or dish can be infused with canna, especially those that contain oil, alcohol or sweet flavors :hello:

Most of the below recipes and tutorials can be found in the stickied CannaPharm thread, if you're interested (where the oil links bring you). [IMG]

There is a partial Table of Contents in my blog, to help you find them a bit quicker (for now, the direct links don't work due to the format changes that occurred during the GC update, however the 'post code' or post number is still accurate.... so if you're interested in a particular recipe from the Table of Contents, for now, simply copy the link location, make note of the post number, and just use the search feature in the CannaPharm to find the post specified within the link!).

Then, you have oil based drinkables...

    http://forum.grassci...=1&d=1296496392

And with a tincture, you can expand and 'lighten' your drinkable options... glycerin and alcohol tinctures do require
more patience than oils, during processing, however.

    Even sushi is easy!

Alcohol and glycerin hash tinctures in the sushi rice (which calls for mirin, a rice wine, sugar and vinegar... some
sushi rice recipes also call for oil, so hash oil may be used as well), and a touch of alcohol tincture with the water,
that is used to hydrate the wasabi. [IMG]

And if you want something really simple... just pop your oil into capsules when you're done!

These keep better than any other edible.. on a shelf, in a desk, or in the freezer.. and they're always ready for eating. :hello:
