Anybody prefer buying actual physical CDs?

  1. Does anybody here like buying the actual physical copy of an album whether it's a CD or Vinyl? This of course would mean you're buying it and not just downloading it for free haha. But I don't see the point in buying something on iTunes when you can just order it online or at the store and have the copy on the CD. That way if you want to delete it off your iTunes you still have the CD and don't have to burn it to take it in the car. Plus you get the artwork and I just like having the CD for some reason, idk guess I'm weird like that

  2. Absolutely, I used to just download them off the internet but now I've been actually purchasing older CDs at discount music stores or Amazon. There's something about holding the physical disc that's nostalgic. Also I can upload the album to iTunes if I want to use my phone. I can stick it in my car and lastly upload it to my ps3. Love cd's though.

  5. Always buy the LP and most come with the mp3 download code which you can then burn on to a cd if you want. Three for the price of one. Sometimes they even throw the cd in with the vinyl. Sucks when you get one that doesn't have anything.

  6. Yes, I like having the actual CD. I like looking at the artwork in person plus there's usually artwork and/or lyrics in the little books.
Plus you're guaranteed good quality music.

  7. I'm not really big on CDs but I am an avid collector of cassette and vinyl; mp3s are a joke, I don't even mess with that stuff anymore.

  8. Nope.

MP3 songs make it easy to make a playlist plus you don't have to buy an entire album, just the songs you like.

And CD's age. The get scratched and dirty.

  9. Yea, theres just something about that moment where you have the whole discography of an artist lined up in front of you
