Check out my new 2 gallon bubble bucket setup. Everything was bought at Wal-Mart and the Home Depot. Total cost per bucket, 2 gallon bucket and lid=$3.99, Air Pump=$9.99, Air Stones=$3.00, I had the air line and egg crate on hand. Total cost per bucket, less than $20 bucks.

I dont recall the brand of air pump but i got it ar walmart it has 2 out puts. I put one long air stone in it. I used a hot knife that was heated on a butane torch to cut the plastic. and i mounted the rack by poking two holes in the lid with said hot knife to attach zip ties to.

thanxx for ur reply.. ive never grown in bubblers, always wanted to.. but im not exactly a handyman and i hope i dont mess it up. i need a step by step on how to make the actual bucket and what not.. the 1 in the pixx above loox like its pretty self explanitory, yet i kno i might mess it up.. what kinda tray is it that u put on the top of the bucket to hold the plant, with those holes to let the roots go into the water...and where can i find it, a regular grow nursery?.

okay i think i got it . pretty simple now that i look at the pixx closely.. question.. in that third pic of the top view of the bucket, what is the blue thing at the bottom?

lets see if i got it correct.. u cut the hole at the lid to fit the tray. cut the hole for the air tubes.. cut a hole to throw ur nutes in.. and thats all? place the tray in there... what do u use for a medium to put into that tray, rockwool? sorry for all the questions, i just want to get it right so i dont waste my time.

GrowBot: Check out my other post to see the egg crate in action. Much like a SCROG and LST mix.

Hazy: The blue thing is the air stone. I used silicone to clue it to the bottom(a must).

The net pots can be found online or in any hydro shop(thats how i got mine.) I put river rock in the net pot to hold the root system they will dangle out of the pot and fill the bucket with the root growth.

thanks gator, ur the man... ok so i need to get silicone to glue the airstone to the bottom, since u say its a must.. lemme ask u, how many of those bubbler buckets can i put under a 400w hps light? i was going to use 4, 5 gallon buckets of soil to put under that light, but i figure i can put more being that the buckets are only 2 gals??

Well you can actually go with fewer plants and get more yield. I also use a 400W HPS and i can fit 4 to six depending on how high you put your light. figure Your bucket is about 10in wide and your crate should be about 12 in wide by 16 in long so your whole bucket setup will be about 20in long by 12in wide.

Pics of buckets in action. I had to replace the original crates with larger ones cuz the plants are da shit and out grew them in a week. Im going to grow the plants out to the fringes of the screen then just let them grow up, i figure if i can cover the entire rack with buds ill be in good shape. Enjoy!

Ummm.... It bubbles. The air line goes from the air pump to the air stone.

ok, so hydro is the next logical step for me (to speed up turnover). my question is how loud are these bubble buckets? enough to keep you awake?
