This may or may not be in the right section so mods please feel free to move it. Anyone care to make an opinion on what I have just heard. A friend of a friend has reciently been busted, which was a surprise to us as we didn't know he was growing (allthough he allways seems to have really good weed). He said the only reason he thinks he was busted was due to his Internet habits of looking at loads of weed/grow related sites. He claims that nobody knew he was growing (not even close friends or family). I'm hoping this is not true as I admit to quite frequently looking at weed related stuff on my phone all the time. No it's not completly legal nor is it legal , it really depends how they did it presuming they did do it via internet , I'm guessing if they bothered to raid him he had a fair few plants? , it's infinitly more likely that he didn't have a carbon filter or he didn't insulate or didn't pay the electricity
That can't be true otherwise they would be busting every non-grower in the UK who just smokes / has a keen interested in the ganj. Did he upload youtube videos of his grows? Or did he have some huge warehouse grow op? I can't see this being the reason, they must have had some tip off / idea he was growing before tracking his internet use. And even then, I don't think they could do that.
Don't know if he uploaded videos ect... And he won't say how many plants he had. I do know he is going to court so its probably more than a couple as the police normally just give you a warning for growing where I live. ** Delivering your shit via planet express **
i highly doubt it. i have been looking at these sites for about 7 years and have posted pictures of multiple grows. a neighbor probably smelled his shit or an exgf told on him or something.
unless he posted like his address... but it is always good to take the extra step i use tor to connect to this site along with a few other things... edit i only use tor to connect to this site if i am going to ask about growing or somthing if i am just lookin through general and what not im not really concerned

maybe his power company detected the 12/12 light cycle ? and if i had to make an educated guess based on all the knowlegege compiled in my head from 10 years in this i'd say the internet really had nothing to do with it, unless he was bragging or posting pics of what could seem of some interest to authorities.

Oh yeah its good to b wary but i realli dont think a small personal grow would warrant the attention of applying to courts an what not to asses what your lookin at online. He sed summat t sum1 fo sure. You know by law they have to tell him how they found out, wether he will tell u is a different question. Ther was a lad on here (ill try find his thread) and he got busted, he asked the police about internet an monitoring an the two police in interview told him outright that its not in the interest of the police to bust personal ops. BUT He had been posting grow op videos on youtube on the same account as sum of the local area, the local council found em and sumhow put 2 an 2 together with local reports of strong smells and they raided him. If you cover your tracks (smells). Dont do ewt daft an dont tell no1 u will NOT get caught.
Yeah your probably right. I haven't seen him personally since it all went down, but from what I can gather he won't say why he got caught.
