  1. My old car got totaled so im tryna get a beater to drive around, like an old civic or something/anything I just want the shit to have a working engine and brakes, is it possible or are all cars around this price about to fall apart at any minute? live around Orlando,fl if that matters at all

  2. No

If it's that cheap it's likely to be a lemon.

  3. Fuck lol I'd just honestly get a bike

  4. Yes definitely. Call auto repair shops around your area and see if they have anything. A friend of mine just bought a late 80s mercury for 800. Car is in great shape, the shop was just using it as a parts runner. You could also try grabbing an ex police interceptor but that might be tough for 1k. It wont be easy at all to find something in that range.

You might want to consider dropping 600 or so on a scooter (at least 150cc)

  5. Idk man i looked everywhere for a car under a thousand. No luck.

Wound up buying a dodge pickup in pretty good shape for 2.

Anything under 1k isnt going to ge you very far.

  6. bike as in 10 speed bicycle or motor bike lol....

  7. As in a without a motor lol get a fixey ! Idk , I'd rather be riding a bike then riding in a shitty car . If anyone says anything about the bike just say you're trying to lose weight or build endurance etc etc xD

  8. Haven't you seen Gone In 60 Seconds? Cars are free.
Srs-Might depend on where you live.. Here in Eastern Oregon I keep hearing about people who buy trucks for $3-500. Even cheaper if you can can wait a little while fixing them up.

  9. ive been hearing about police auctions where you can get cheap good cars and shit but idk where to find those

  10. You need a license (not drivers license) to buy from police auctions . You should find someone with one . Good luck , sometimes there lemons ><

  11. Look on craigslist someone could just be trying to get rid of a 90s car. You can get lucky and find something that will last some time. 90s neons blue book value never go over 2k even with low miles

  12. If you got time to wait and shop, then yes you can find transportation for 800-1200ish.
But if you really need something right now, a piece of shit will run you 1800-2kish.

  13. A motorcycle is a good cheap option.

I got one for only 500 bucks and it got me around for years.

Of course it's better for places with mostly sunny weather all year around.

  14. Depends what you consider to be half decent.

You can get something road legal for 1k - it's not going to be a pretty car, but it is most definitely doable.

Chevrolet Cavalier - City of Toronto Cars For Sale - Kijiji City of Toronto Canada.

1997 Toyota Corolla Sedan - City of Toronto Cars For Sale - Kijiji City of Toronto Canada.

2002 Pontiac Sunfire Sedan URGENT SELL $1100 - Oshawa / Durham Region Cars For Sale - Kijiji Oshawa / Durham Region Canada.

None of them are nice, but they're all cheap and driveable.

  15. craigslist. never go see a car without a friend(s). dont expect functioning a/c.

  16. The dude is right , just bring a buddy who knows a good amount of info on cars when you go to check one out

  17. lol. i meant for help if shit goes down... always do your transaction at/in a public environment IN THE DAYTIME. maybe its cuz i live in south Texas. we got guns n shit.

  18. Haha, I love that you said "don't expect working ac". Just because it's so true with all of the cheap used cars. If the ac works and it's cheap, there's something else majorly wrong :p

  19. unless you know a friend that sells cars cheap, you will probally not find a running one easily for that amount

  20. I've bought several cars under $1000 and pass up hundreds more.

Let me clue ya in if ya looking for point a to point b and 30mpg...
