ISO 91 % for reclaiming

  1. I tried to reclaim my oil rig (covered in gold good news from walls to percs)

So I only have access to 91% ISO that I've found at target.
I ended up getting a spectacular amount of reclaim (a gram) but there's white cloudy milky areas on the edges like the water didn't evap since its 9 % water and 91% alcohol.
Is this right? Of do you guys use 91% too?

Do you know of a store that sells 99%? Walgreens has 91% too, so I'm short of luck with the major chains.
Trying to buy online can be a hassle bc my mailbox is small.

Is 91 % okay? And should I oven purge the water out at low heat?

  2. It really depends on what the white cloudy milky areas look like. A picture would most certainly help to identify your problem.

To start you could try spreading your reclaim over a glass plate and letting dry out for a longer period of time. This would most likely solve your problem if that's the situation since the 9% would still evaporate due to the alcohols properties.

  3. White? Cloudy? Milky?
    Its semen

  4. I use 91% iso for reclaim somtimes, it usually does the same, I have mismatched color oil leftover.

  5. Just imagine milk diluted in water, and only appears at some edges but only a little bit like 1/4 the size of a penny.
I scraped it anyway but due to the mismatched color, and the milky areas, I just made edibles with it.

  6. Think u need everclear..wouldn't eat those edibles if you used 91%

  7. ^^^ It doesn't matter if it's 91% or not for reclaim. The reason you would use a higher percentage is if you were making ISO hash/wax. The more water in the alcohol; the more chlorophyll and plant matter will be in your final product. Since reclaim doesn't have plant matter; it should be fine. Never had white milky stuff though... What did you reclaim it into? Not plastic or shit like that right?

  8. Glass dish

  9. Yeah, but it got me stoned ;)

  10. Was just tryna look out..heard of people getting real sick from eating iso shit.

  11. I wouldn't use ISO to pull resin out of a piece to use. It works well at cleaning the piece, but even after evaporating for the most part you aren't going to evaporate ALL of the isopropyl alcohol with what you have available in your kitchen and when you smoke it, I can tell you from experience, you're going to feel like straight shit. I've been working in a lab for about 6 months now with extracts in solvents that evaporate MUCH more readily than isopropyl alcohol or water either one. Getting all of the solvent from the extract takes air drying for hours, and even then at least 3 hours of drying in a vacuum oven. If you can't get moonshine to use, just clean the thing and dump the shit.

  12. It isn't resin, its reclaim
Like straight up gold oil from my oil rig
Heard of people reclaiming with 99% Nd that seems legit but how can I find 99%?

  13. Regardless of what it is, trusting an extract with something that is harmful to ingest without the equipment to make sure it is all out of the final product is foolish to say the least. As I said, ethanol is a fine and much-less-harmful substitute even though it may cost you a bit more. Good-quality moonshine should be plenty concentrated enough to extract what you need without the risk (and the god-awful headache afterwards) of inhaling or otherwise ingesting any of the ISO.

  14. The cloudy milky reclaim WILL purge it just takes a bit longer than the oil. Now using 99% will help with this even more. I made the mistake today of using 70% and noticed i there was still some oil in my rig and realized I used the wrong ISO so i just grabbed my 91% cleaned the rest of the rig and added that to the 70% thats already on the stove, its milky/cloudy because of the extra water in the ISO. Now when you do ISO your reclaim, take your time, it should take atleast and hour depending on how much rez you get from your rig and what ISO you use. Also I wouldn't recommend doin this on a stove top to anybody! Invest in a griddle!

  15. Like I said. I would use everclear

  16. Which would be perfectly fine. In my state the highest proof that's legal to sell is 151, so to get anything as strong as would be preferred you gotta turn to the backwoods.

  17. Idk if you have a Rite-Aid near you but they always have 99%. I once qwiso'd my grinder/vape tube with 91% and I did get some milky color, waited for a few days and by then it was completely fine. Never reclaimed with anything except 99% but yea a constant low heat will do

  18. ISO is... Alcohol and Water

The alcohol evaporates before the water ever will... therefore, there is nothing dangerous to consume in the end product. At least not like you would be risking by smoking some shitty home-made BHO that some dumb-ass teenager made.

With 91% you will want to QWISO for about 30 seconds and then strain through a NATURAL brown coffee filter into a pyrex dish on low heat 105-115*F for 25-45 minutes depending on 91 vs 99 and how much product/alc that you end up using.

  19. I'm reclaiming an oil rig, so I don't think a filter is necessary

I have a gram of wax inside my oil piece just stuck on the walls, caked on like pancakes on the glass
