  1. New mini-series on History Channel, pretty damn good if you ask me.

    2nd episode starts now...

  2. Watched the first episode and liked it. Haven't watched tonight's yet but it's on the DVR so I'll probably watch it tomorrow.

I've got high hopes for this one.

  3. just finished up episode 1.

really liking the show.. you guys have no idea how much i fucking like vikings lol. one of the coolest cultures ever imo.

  4. Sounds cool, I'm gonna download the first two episodes just now.

Yeah I know they're a fascinating bunch, I've always been really interested in them for some reason:smoke:

  5. Might take the day off today and just sit home take a blunt to the face and watch the 2nd episode (ended up recording it)

  6. Only 2 episodes so far but god damn they arent holding back with it. No filler episodes yet.

If this was on AMC they would have stretched the western raids and sailing till the end of the season.

  7. Oh and I'd smash Katheryn Winnick so hard... Sexy as hell

  8. how many parts is this mini series? is it a regular old 3 part series or is it longer like those ww2 shows?

  9. I think it's a 9 part series

  10. im lovin these pre airs.

2nd episode early and now the 3rd too.

  11. How do you get to see pre airs hahah

  12. I believe they are on Hulu plus.

  13. Looks like they're just trying to rip off Game of Thrones, but I'll check it out at some point. History Channel hasn't let me down much (except that god-awful Larry the Cable Guy show).

  14. umm this show is based in reality. there is actually a really solid chance Game of Thrones is a rip off from the stories of Ragnar Lodbrok, given that most fantasy stuff nowadays is heavily influenced by norse mythology.

  15. Looks like nobody will be able to do medieval type shows anymore without people saying they are ripping off Game of Thrones.

  16. It's going with the fad. Might not be ripping off exactly, but definitely not original.

I watched episode 1 and was kind of on the fence about the show. Should I check out episode 2?

  17. Its funny cause when first I saw this show I was like "well people will see raggedy clothes and axes and go AHH GAME OF THRONES COPYCATS". Not to pat myself on the back people are pretty predictable nowadays.

Thats comedy gold though, a show about vikings isnt original because its a medieval setting. Its pretty much as original as it gets.

  18. im just trying to figure out how a story thats over 1000 years old is ripping off game of thrones, and isnt original.

Dang, why is everyone jumping down my throat? I just thought the timing was a little suspicious (ie just enough time for some History Channel execs to say "You know what the kids are into these days? That new Game of Thrones show on HBO. We should get in on that racket.") I've never really been a fan of fantasy TV shows - I tried watching Game of Thrones once and practically fell asleep - so maybe that's why I couldn't tell the difference

Whatever, just enjoy the show I guess. May Odin or whoever have mercy on my soul for saying anything
