Okay so this is my first Aeroponic grow. I have grown in soil a few times with decent results but I have decided to go with aero spending many hours of research I built my own Low Pressure Aero. Basic Info: Plant Strains: Pineapple Express,White Widow,Unknown Lighting: T5 HO 8 Tube system for now I plan on having 3 of these systems 1 for the tops 2 for side lighting. Rez Rez: 25 Gal. Number of Plants: 12. Nutrients: General Hydroponic Nutrients. Rez Temps: 68F-78F PH: 5.4-6.3 My PH Meter is a HM Digital has anyone ever used this? Mine seems very off and I have to recalibrate it often. I started them off in rockwool under a T12 80 watt fixture in a humidity dome with some of the Unknowns clones taken earlier before. Now I started them off in the Aero unit with a very weak 1/4th nutrient solution when they where about a week old more or less they had there 3rd set of leaves around a week and a half ago and burned them badly I flushed several times a soon as I noticed the nutrient burning they have been recovering and root growth has started to speed up these last couple of days but the clones dont seem to be growing more roots which I think is weird Cause before they where put into the Aero unit they had a decent amount of roots also I did stress them one day cause I did a rez change from 76F water to 68F water. If there is anything I'm still doing wrong Please any advise would be greatly appreciated. Heres Pics of what they look like
they look very hungry to me.if using gen hydro 3 part mix your solution with 5ml of each part per gallon of water, and add in a vitamin b solution (like vitamax or vitamax plus) to reduce stress. What kind of grow rocks? Why not root straight into air? your aero unit will root faster and better then any other cloning method! use neoprene plugs to support the cuttings. Mine rooted in 2 days last time, 2 weeks later and I have massive root balls, i am concerned they will get far to big before i can transplant them
Money is an issue take that in consideration I have not a clue what kind of grow rocks they are to be honest I got them from my local hydro store they were cheap and he told me it really doesn't matter to much about your medium. Thinking about it your right I should have went with neoprene plugs is it too late or is that still possible ill be getting some more supplies next weekend. And I have not been feeding ever since I burned them I really dont trust the General Hydro feed scheduled what so ever and need help understanding how to use the nutrients properly. My PH meter just crapped out on me so I'm defiantly not gonna be adding any Nutrients until I can get that replaced What garbage though I just bought it not 2 weeks ago and it wont even turn on anymore after several attempts to calibrate it I kept getting an Error.
ya i use the same nutes. they are buffered to keep you close to the proper pH. My tap water starts at 7.8 and comes out at 5.8 when i'm done mixing. They will die without nutes. might hurt themto take the rocks out now. The plugs are a good investment as they are 100% reusable, and block out all light from your res
okay well I added 2ml for every gallon instead id rather start off lower and work my way up. Whats the brand that you use?
I use General Hydroponics flora series 3-part, same as you. And yes i am positive they are buffered, not perfect, but they always come out close for me. Where are you located?
Quick update everything seems to be going alot smoother root growth has exploded I'm glad I added the nutrient when I did thank you I aslo swapped put my pump for a tiny 800 ghp marine pump used on boats it seems to work okay not nearly as powerful as the other one but I can atleast control the temps alot better now worst case is ill upgrade again sometime in the future. Now my PH meter is broken so I do not know the PH ill be picking a new one up on the weekend do you think ill be fine until then?
If you think there are any other problems let me know. Is it okay to add a few drops of bleach to keep the anything from growing in the Rez that's what Ive been doing so far with no problems I will pick up some H2o2 and be using that soon.

those numbers look a little out to me.
