Circumcision, ok to blaze?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by bmaster, Mar 1, 2013.

  1. Hows it goin guys. So I wasn't circumcised as a baby and I ended up having some problems growing up with a tight foreskin so I finally got circumcised this morning. They used anesthesia on me during the procedure to knock me out and I think they did like some shot to kill the pain around that area. I also received a prescription for some pain killing pills that im going to pick up later today, I forgot exactly what the prescriptions for. I wasn't in any pain at first but its been about 5 hours since the procedure and im starting to get a little pain nothing unbearable. Im wondering if it would be ok for me to smoke some weed to calm down and give me some pain relief but i'm not sure if I should for a while. I've been researching and some people say sure blaze, it'll help with the pain and make the healing faster. Other people have said smoking weed changes the size of you blood vessels or something and will slow healing dramatically. Idk what to do and im kind of fiending a high right now lol. If you know anything about this or just want to give an opinion, please reply. I also have an mflb so I could vape if that would be any better. Thanks for reading!

I don't believe weed slows down healing significantly, if at all. You should be fine to smoke. I thought you were going to ask a question about mixing weed and anesthetics, not this.

I just researched this. Apparently, it actually opens your blood vessels, not constrict them. Plus it increases your heart rate, meaning chemicals circulate faster through your body. By logic, this would improve your healing.

You can't trust people on yahoo answers. They can pull whatever answer they want right out of their ass depending on their view of marijuana. That person provided no proof. Go here for information about it. Do CONTROL+F and type in 'cardiovascular' for the heart disease/cardiovascular section.

If you want a personal, yet kinda gross, anecdote, a few weeks ago I had really dry skin on one of my ass cheeks from working out and sweating so much. I guess the sweat had rubbed the skin on my ass cheek raw. Anyway, it was swelling and really red. It hurt to even sit down. I woke up with it Wednesday, put lotion on it periodically and went to school. Needless to say, I didn't return to the gym the rest of that week. On Friday, the swelling was about the same and nothing had changed really. That weekend, I vaped a lot of weed as always and was high throughout most of the weekend. It healed significantly from the Friday before to Monday morning. It was almost gone. I actually attribute the healing to the marijuana.

  4. I smoked during my recovery time of my circumcision a few years ago. Helped with pain(I could barely walk). Everything healed perfect and all turned out well :)

  5. aloe vera and heavy amounts of cannabis will do you well, my friend

  6. I had both my feet broken in 2011 and had to have several foot surgeries. I would not have made it through the surgeries without marijuana. I also took my pain pills as prescribed.

My cousin and my brother had problems similar Complications and had to be circumcised later in life. My cousin was circumcised at 22 and my brother at 12. Both doing great now!

    Feel better soon :)

  7. You can smoke haha don't worry about it bro

  8. Thanks for the replies, I was thinking the same as you guys and was planning to "medicate" during my recovery. I got pretty high vaping off my mflb and now i'm going to eat a mango and then smoke a few bowls!

  9. Has anyone every heard of circumcising yourself, but without the cut?

  10. I was drinking soda at the time and literally spit out when I read the title, is this not as funny to everyone else

As for your actual question cannabis is a vasodilator but won't stop clotting and make you bleed or anything. If hemophiliac stoners aren't dropping dead everywhere you'll be fine.

  11. Cannabinoids have long been used for post-operative pain.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is involved in the healing process. Stimulating the ECS with a few "phytocannabinoids" shouldn't hurt things at all! [IMG]
