  1. that would be it, where would I be able to get one of them?

I'm not really good with electronics, so you made my day by helping!  :D

    Fan1: 120mm - 0.19A
    Fan2: 80mm - 0.36A
    12V DC adapter: 0.42A
Fan controller: 4 channels, 0.7A each channel (voltage goes from 6V to 12V), all channels combined is 2.8A total.

I have a 2A - 12V adapter laying around somewhere , is it a good idea to stop using the 0.42A and switch to the 2A adapter?

You could buy a double adapter from eBay. That way you will have two plugs and a socket for a couple of bucks

If you run an eBay search for "pc fan double" you should get a selection of options

There is a margin of safety when it comes to the adapters but as it's rated for 420mA and the fans will draw 550mA I would use a larger one if it's an option. If each channel of the fan controller can handle 700mA then it will be fine with those fans.

420mA, I think thats a sign from the Cannabis Gods  :smoking:  :smoking:
Thanks for explaining! I'm gonna wire the 2A adapter as soon as possible  :D
