all I really need is a timer that is capable of being set for a few seconds on/ a few minutes off.. Everything I can find seems to be wanting to run the lights and everything, and run in the $150 dollar range..... the only thing I need is to cycle the pump itself in say a 10sec on/ 10 min off cycle....

    any suggestions?

  2. I just used a 3 prong 15 minute on/off Brinks timer from Walmart. I ran my pumps 15 minutes on 15 off before I just left them on 24/7. Maybe do 30 or 35 off and 15 on.

    Good luck,
    Z

  3. Not exactly the times you're looking for but $60 bucks and free shipping, the cap nft-1e is non adjustable 1 min on 4 off and works great as long as you don't try to run too many pumps at once. If you're not flexible on the timing, you can get the cap art-dne for $70 inclusive, probably less if you shop around. That one will get you 10sec on 10 min off, or pretty much any combo you like. Same thing tho, you don't want to run any more than three 400gph pumps per timer with these or it'll fry in short order. Good luck

  4. Not bad at all, what are you using it for?

  5. High pressure aero based off of petflora's (as a starting point) for a small(4 tote) SOG grow.

i would stay away from digital timers use mechanical timers. unless it has a battery backup and you keep the batteries fresh. dont ask me how i know.

  8. Mechanical timers arent very accurate and not much good if you need 1 sec durations. Digital timers are reliable, its the cheap mechanical relays they use in them that crap out. A digital timer (1sec- 270hrs) costs $8, replace the cheap mechanical relay with a solid state relay $6 and you`ll have a timer that can run 1 sec on / 1 sec off constant for a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 31 years.

  9. I message you earlier and I just found this. Are you saying take apart the digital timer and replace the mechanical relay and pit in a solid state relay. I have one of these mechanical relays in my aero cloner and I've caut it stuck on a couple of times tell it cycles agin. It's sticking.

  10. You can find solid state relays on Ebay for about $20.00

  11. I know I found a lot I can't find a timer and relay combo. You know plug and play. Or do I just have to make one?
