Ok, tried this in an existing thread and nobody answered so lets try it in a new thread.

I had about 3/4 of a pound of outdoor stuff that I had to harvest early due to cold temps. The buds were a week or two out from being mature and I harvested like i normally would. The buds were kinda airy so I used the dry ice and bubble bag method to hash it out. This was my first try and I'm a little worried about the color. My stuff isn't really green, it's more like light green, but it gets darker when I compress it. I used the 220 mesh for most of it, but ran a few minutes with the 190 micron bag as well. I think the 190 micron is actually darker green than the 220. Let me know if anyone thinks my stuff turned out too green. And if so, what do you suggest i do? The short bag is the 190 and the tall bag is 220.

  2. Looks bomb to me dude but I don't know much about bubble hash, Into the bho personally...upload a pick of what it looks like compressed does it almost fully melt?

  3. I'm not sure about the fully melting. How do I check that? I have seen the oil made with butane and alcohol and those tube things, but I have never partook of the honey oil. The hash is almost too strong for me as it is. Here is a pic of the little compressed puck.

  4. Yeah its pretty green.

If it gets you high who cares though? Personally i wouldnt be satisfied with it. Blast it into some bho.

I don't feel right about ingesting anything processed with chemicals. If I wanted chemicals I would just start abusing opiates again. Butane, isopropyl alcohol, and whatever else people use to make honey oil isn't for me. If I were to try it, I would have to drive over to Idaho and pick up some everclear 190 proof grain alcohol. I'm pretty close to idaho though, maybe I'll do that today. Need to get more feedback before I make any moves. That may be another option though.

  6. My bad I was really high and thought you meant bubble hash but you kief doesn't look to green to me

  7. The taste is outta this world. Smoothest smoke i've ever had. Might have to invest in a concentrate bowl.

  8. thats gonna make some dark errl. your kief should be reaalll blonde for blasting but I personally would do an alcohol wash with either frozen ethanol or ISO.

  9. Well I haven't had any complaints so far, but I'm looking into the oils. I personally think they are too strong, but I am a provider for several other medical patients and they have mentioned it to me recently. If I try it, i will end up using grain alcohol.

So anyone else have any ideas? Is there some way I can further refine the dry sieve stuff? Can I do anything to get more of the plant matter (green color) out of the final product without losing too much weight? I was thinking of converting it to water method and run it through some smaller bubble bags to help clean it up. Thoughts?

  10. grain alcohol is great! I would say maybe try some bubble bags and see what size screens give you nice color.

  11. I used bubble bags Jimmy. I just used the dry ice method instead of the wet ice. This way, I don't have to dry the shit out after it's been wet. I ran my buds through the 220 bag for 4 minutes, then through the 190 for 2 minutes. I just don't know if running 120 grams of 220 micron bubble bag kief through water will help clean out any of the green. I've never had regular bubble hash, but I hear it's kinda flavorless. Think i'll just press this run and see what happens with my patients. If they like it, great, if not, then I guess i'll try the water and ice method next run.

  12. I meant like dry sift it through the different meshs

  13. Oh, i see what you mean. Yea, I could try that. Wonder if I should run it through with dry ice again. I'll do some experimenting. Got it in the freezer right now. Maybe that's all I need. All this shit is soo new to me. In my day all you had to deal with were roach clips and zigzags. Now there is a complete industry. I do love the vaporizers and the double, triple, etc. bubbler bongs.
