Having owned a couple of British cars I'd say it's about time they got something right! LMAO

1963 Austin-Healey 3000 and a 1974 MG B (probably THE worst car ever produced with the exception of any Fiat)

You're an organic gardener now dude..........we need to erase that N-P-K mindset

    From Wiki.....(yeah, I know lol)

Comfrey is a particularly valuable source of fertility to the organic gardener. It is very deep rooted and acts as a dynamic accumulator,[7] mining a host of nutrients from the soil. These are then made available through its fast-growing leaves (up to 4-5 pounds per plant per cut) which, lacking fibres, quickly break down to a thick black liquid. There is also no risk of nitrogen robbery when comfrey is dug into the soil as the C:N ratio of the leaves is lower than that of well-rotted compost. Comfrey is an excellent source of potassium, an essential plant nutrient needed for flower, seed and fruit production. Its leaves contain 2-3 times more potassium than farmyard manure, mined from deep in the subsoil, tapping into reserves that would not normally be available to plants

cheers CC.. did a nice malted barley & oat tea a few weeks ago, along w/ a topdressing of vermi and crab shell.. and man my plants really dug it a lot.
I'm guessing once is enough for something like that? i'm already 7 weeks into flower on this run.
    much appreciated as always man..

was just thinking of throwing something in there for this 7 week fattening period.. but again, i think that's my bottle mentality in my head. My soil is more than adequate i'm sure.

    yup.. agree 1000% man..

i just need to get my head wrapped around it still lol.. did bottles for a long fucking time before this switch, so old habits and all :p

  4. Dude - your soil is super good. You did everything perfect.

Build a diverse soil and let the microbes sort it out.

I'll be honest with ya dude - I don't even follow half the (ahem) "rules" that I preach and see here in these organic halls but because I start out with quality compost and vermicompost it ALWAYS still works out tits.

    Ha! I said tits... Lol

  8. Thanks. I should have topped em. I'm seeing a little rot already clipped it off what 1 and 3.
I won't even visit anywhere thats not an island. Tom wants to take me to california, new york or michigan/canada. I don't wanna go. :hide:
Some people do true outdoor grows from seed and they get big huge plants and wait months for them to finish and smoke my weed while they trim through the rot.
I start em indoors and put em out instead cause i would rather keep trying plants working to find ones that work well here without cutting rot out of 10 foot plants.

Thanks. :D I dunno the tag maybe says(YEP IT SAYS G-13) I think it was a freebie :confused_2:
It's a pretty plant and it is doing better than the snowbud with that light chasing thing. Both of em are just covered in burns   I tried to shake the dew off but I did not help and they are more stuborn than me so...burn away
    Not really but... :hide:

What's really disturbing about the picture is that it isn't all that different from a current photo my first wife posted on her Facebook page.

Talk about dodging a bullet, eh?

  10. I think it's more disturbing that his boobies are bigger than mine :devious:

  11.
    Ouch.

  12. Now what?

Chopped down a bunch of comfrey today

    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1409343711.932424.jpg

What's my best winter solution, I am planning to use it in my IPM spray. Basically 1 gallon water bubbled for 24-48 with what ever I add, then sprayed the girls with my Chapin sprayer (works top notch, so easy, with some experience it's going to be breeze to do).

    1. Leave hanging and once it's dry crumble up and put in bucket to scoop out when needed.
    2. Stuff it all in a bucket ASAP, wait till it turns to the black syrup and add when needed.
    3. Say fuck it, chop up, top plants and worm bin (just got a 15 gallon smart pot to start a new worm bin, that's another conversation)

Suggestions appreciated, got a few hours till Phish couch tour.

  13. It's ok paka I'm not salty...mine are shaped perfect like hotel bells tom rings em all the time.

  14. All of the above? All are good. At the very least use some of your material while it's fresh. I will say that it's very nice to have some dry when you look outside and there's several feet of snow on the ground.

After all this comfrey talk I decided to go out and chop up a bunch of my own lol - i'm going to mix it with my compost bin top dress my plants LOL

    Btw - tomatoes!

  15. The only thing you've got to watch out for with this method, even chopping it up like this, is that you'll find comfrey growing out of your pot plants lol

    Seriously. I've had it happen.

    i know dude.. i know :p

all the school teachers always told my mom i was a little slow..
i'll get the hang of this one of these days lol..

    thanks for the info chunk..

  17. Avoid fresh stems and it should be fine. Had a bunch pop up in my worm bin a while back when I added fresh stems cut into 2-3" pieces and buried them.

  18. "thanks for the info chuck.."

    Fixed that for ya dude.

    ;)

  19. I made a chopped comfrey+ewc+nettle FPE slurry and top dressed my fruiting Bhut Jolokia, hoping htat this would allow it to reach it's full butthole-burning potential.

My comfrey plants could go for their 3rd harvest this year, though; today I just picked a few leaves off one of the plants.
