  1. Noob.

I love sourdough bread.......it's amazing how some SD cultures have been alive for hundreds of years. Have you ever been to sourdo.com? They have and sell cultures from all over the world............. pretty amazing actually.

  3. Izzy - I'll be over to take a look.

Remember the "kimchi" episode from MASH, when they thought the buried pot was a bomb? Lol

Chunk, I am a member on that most excellent website and Struan is next on my list!

NWB - I love sourdough - but haven't made it - yet. I've heard a lot about the grape ferment and will get to it soon. Thanks for the link too!

  4. I have NOW!! :laughing::ey:
    Wooohooo!:yay:

    Thanks Chunk, definitely bookmarked!

  5. With these sourdough ferments don't the strains from your own neighborhood eventually end up taking over the originals?

Point being is that if I buy a specific "San Francisco Sourdough" strain of yeast culture that it won't stay that way for too long - correct? I believe, if I remember correctly that this will turn into my own regions variety before too long.

    Anyone comment on this?

That's what LD told me would happen.......I guess the first couple loaves would be the original,,,,,but IDK after that.

This is from the site's culture page.....:confused_2:

  7. That's what I've always heard as well, and it really does make sense. I dunno

  8. Nice reply Chunk - not that it really matters to me either way. I think it's cool how we are able to keep the yeast cultures alive for years and years - talk about resilient!

On another note it rained real good last night and the snow has pretty much all gone! thank fu*k for that I had been stuck indoors for nearly 2 weeks only small trips to the shops ect! But now I'M FREE!! LOL.. But saying that i'm in court on the 4th fr possession of 15.78 grams of weed so dunno how long i'll be free for! my previous is quite a long list..prob bigger than my weekly shopping list so not good will keep ya posted... or not ! lol

  11. Sorry to hear about the possession charge W89. I do believe that eventually cannabis will be legal or at least, hopefully decriminalized most places. It's a waste of the taxpayers money to say the least for what - some buds? I don't get it. I do get the hard dope but I don't get the criminal charges on beautiful, aromatic flowers.

Not that I've even seen any in a long time but ya know what ought to be illegal? SCHWAG...lol get that big field grown nasty Mexican compressed brown schwag off the streets yo! Lol

Cool beans on the new air pump. You'll find it has many other uses around your garden besides just ACTs. 40 LPM ain't so bad for small to mid-sized batches of quality teas. I use a 72 LPM Alita for my big(er) 15 gallon cone tank so I don't know why you wouldn't be perfect with that pump for 5-8 gallon batches.
Keep your eyes open for one of these cone shape tanks. Good investment for long term tea brewing IMO.

  14. Alright Mr. J you got some explaining to do. Who's that big bitch in the back, with those massive fan leaves? Obviously baking is not all you've been up to. lol

  15. Ohhhhh....that. Lol

That's my veg area. There's just a few actually smaller ones in there right now.

I keep an assortment of different size plants and strains always going in my veg area, from little clones going on to 1 gallon pots to 15 gallon larger plants - just vegging away. I run 6 legal plants in my flower room on a perpetual cycle so the same day that I harvest one I have my pick of the best, biggest and healthiest plant to replace it the same day. Each 10-14 days I harvest another one and the cycle continues.

I have not kept up on the Obsession thread for the last month or more and for that I apologize. After I had my "issue" I kinda got schitzed out and decided to put it aside for a bit.

Since the cats out of the bag here are several pics from this morning in the flower room. The first picture is a rather large AK47. She has only been in there for 4 weeks but I can tell she is going to be a big producer.

The 2nd and last (4th) picture is my Northern Lights strain. She makes my eyes water when I trim her as if I were chopping strong onions.

The 3rd picture is Yumboldt. She is one of my favorites. Hard to explain, but what I can say is that she is a very strong, potent - not "sweet" variety. She definetly takes the cake above all others as far as crystal count. Finished flowers look like they were rolled in powdered sugar, wet and then rolled in it again.

They've all got a ways to go yet. Today I'm trimming up a different Yumboldt. I hate trimming.

  16. Beautiful work as always my friend. That AK47 looks like those nuggets are bullet hard. I cant imaging what that NL is going to do once she starts shedding. Your yumbolt is always stunning especially the flower time. Im clawing through genetics looking to fill the out my stable.

Totally understand about keeping it on the down low, safety first. You can always pm me bud porn;)

Possession charges for little amounts are just a slap on the wrists but I just came off a 4 month tag for 20 plants in veg.. Plus 500 clones that I was doing for someone and I've got quite a bad past done as lot of silly things in my past... I was a heroin addict for 6 years an that led to quite a big criminal record.. I've been clean over 6 or 7 months now and will never look back there but the past always comes back to bite ya in the arse..big waste of my late teens early 20's but can't do nothing about it now you wouldn't think by looking at me either and I don't mind talkin about it I'm pretty open about my life and if people don't like it that's there problem not mine.. But growing really helps me with staying clean it gives me something to occupy myself and helps with my mental health big time suffered with depression and growing is the only thing that really helps me

And on the cone bottom tanks I did find one but was a lot of money maybe I'll get one when I've got a bit of spare cash until then a bucket with an airlift will do just fine will prob chuck and air stone in the bucket and an airlift too should give maximum DO
