No I haven't. Sounds cool! I was just listening to Jimi Hendrix - 20th Century Masters: The Best of Jimi Hendrix today at work on my phone. Excellent album.
Almost forgot......Happy Birthday to Angus Young of AC/DC. I had a Gibson SG back then because of him.

Hey peers. Where was that conversation about the use of crab meal also as a ph buffer? I was hoping to read some more input on that.
so increasing cation exchange isn't limited to the decomposition of organic matter IN your soil but also living in the soil. Such as living mulches to be exact.
The more the better, it's from the chemical reactions brought on from all the bacteria. This was my first tea I did a couple weeks ago My grow journal http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-medical-marijuana-growing/1353929-mopheads-purple-closet-adventures.html
Just saponins, nothing to worry about... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saponin I'm curious though... What's different (material wise) about this particular batch of tea that you're brewing? I've always experienced foam when brewing teas. If fact, it's usually a huge pain in the ass because the foam tends to overflow out of the bucket.
What do you want to know? There are a lot of threads that might contain info on the effects of carbonates and pH buffering...
Can crab meal be used solidly as the ph buffer seeing that it's 96% calcium carbonate? Would you want to up the ratio per cu ft of you went this route?
Sounds like a good plan. That's what I do. I use 1 cup/cubic foot crab/crustacean meal, and 1/2c oyster shell flour.
EWC, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, and molasses. My grow journal http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-medical-marijuana-growing/1353929-mopheads-purple-closet-adventures.html
The Governor of California just declared a 25% reduction in water usage for the state. I wonder if I should grow just a few plants this season? Look at this video: http://nyti.ms/1Dw3AXx
Is it harmful if my compost freezes? I just picked up some compost today and its still in the trailer. It will probably drop below freezing tonight. Should I get it inside? Or will it be fine outside if it freezes? I really don't want to haul 300g inside after going 12 hours already today. Thanks in advance for any opinions.
