Nothing you said here proves Obama is more socialist than Reagan. And Reagan didn't bring anything together. The 80's and now are two very different times with different scenarios. The division you are referring to in our country right now is much bigger than one man.

But that is assuming the other 50% that doesn't vote hates Obama. That is an assumption nobody can back up. The only way we can speculate is based on the voting and on polling. Both seem to show slightly more than half have a favorable view of him. And considering the majority of people who don't vote are poor minorities, my guess is that missing 50% isn't going to be against him.

Good point. My guess is they probably have other matters that are far more pressing to them than voting in another asshole politician that really doesn't give a shit about them. Hell I feel that way and I'm not an extremely poor minority.
