Cannastick reviews?

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by SDow21DUB, Jan 23, 2013.

  1. :smoking::smoking:I am on the hunt for a quality vape pen and came across the cannastick but can't find any reviews on it. I really like the idea of being able to vape wax or oil and also smoking or vaping dry herbs. Sounds pretty sick but would like to get some opinions.. Thanks

  2. i would like to know about this as well. looks legit as fuck if it works correctly

LMAO thats just the old garbage trippy stix design  (same one like 20 companies still try and push).
They generally dont do very well for dry herbs but will do the job, alot of them break in the middle and youll be re soldering the battery.

Not to mention they are still using the crap charger where u gotta take it apart to charge, cant even use while charging.

And last but not least there is no replaceable coil, you have to buy new chambers.  These should be like 20 bucks. I remember I paid 120 for my first one (trippy stix) and regret it after breaking 2 and a mini stix (same as the smaller design on the site you show)

All in all they suck, This a few superior pens out now

  4. you definitely work for hippy trips since all your posts are promoting it

cannastick has a USB battery option. cannastick's wax kits have completely different heating element and tank designs from anything ive seen (closest might be the 710 pen). cannasticks heating element for dry herb is vertical rather than one flat coil, which ive never seen on any other vape pen. cannasticks are sold for something like $35 bucks whereas your cheap crappy hippy trips are going for $120 brand new, have the same basic designs, and most likely function like crap too just like their shitty website. nice try..

nah actually my friend came by and he helps push them at events across the US. I personally decided to help him out with a bit of good word cause i really like the pen

. 710 pen, cannastix, g pen, trippy stix. All old school stuff to me now, cause i had that design and i hated it.

I went through 2 of the same design as that cannastick and 1 of the mini styles (cloud. Mini trippy, dabr) and my hippy trip is dope!

As well youll see im a long time member here, im promoting them hell yeah! but no i dont work for hippy trip

There is a good reason those style pens are as low as 35 bucks nowadays, because they are outdated garbage that there is hundreds of thousands of sitting around waiting to be rebadged  for sale

The cannastick has a usb charger that requires you to take apart your whole pen to plug into the special middle portion.
Hippy trips use a Micro usb on one end, and a full size usb on the other

The hippy trip was made by real smokers bro, what pens have you seen lately that have a real usb charged u can vape while charging? or a replaceable coil strong enough to push wax onto without breaking

Im a medical patient and im here telling you these things are AWESOME, that fact that they have a funny lookin website and the name isnt that creative is why i decided to throw out some good word on the forums and help you guys give these pens a chance. Cause they actually have design points that work in the users favor, not just in the cost cutting of a factory.

OH and PS i would fucking love to work for hippy trip!

    1. "long time member" yet you have 10 posts and all are promoting a basic crappy vape pen?

    2. the cannastick has a usb pen option. you plug a miniUSB into the bottom of the battery and can use it while its charging.

    3. most wax pens are "made by real smokers, bro" because there are hundreds of pens that have a USB passthrough that allow you to charge and vape at the same time, including the cannastick. pretty much ALL the vape pens have a replacable coil, the microvaped and cannastick even sell just the skillet portion as well for something like 7 bucks a peice. they are DESIGNED for wax and stable concentrates. not crappy shitbox rebranded ecig tanks that you gotta extend your mortgage just to afford.

    4. youre not a medical patient. youre a filthy marketing tool. why would anyone trust a shotty product from a shotty website paying 3x more than what others are offering? youre fucking pathetic.

  7. Ok so I've had the cannastick for about a week now.  it is a LOT more effective than I expected.  There were some issues getting the battery to hold a charge, but after plugging it into my laptop overnight instead of the wall outlet it seems to work fine.

One thing I really like about this model is there is no automatic shut off. it will keep pumping out vapor until you release the button.  with a fresh load I've gotten some great rips.

One thing I really don't care for is the $20 replacement battery. but for the price ($41.00 with shipping *took 3 biz days to arrive*) the pot leaf on the power button I could have lived without.

I have only used it with budder and bho.  it is impressive.  hardest part is not over filling it.

I've looked hard at the cloud V platinum ($80) since it won an award.  I noticed that when placed side by side the cloud V's heating element seems to be almost twice as large as the cannastick, but I may be wrong.     I am thinking the cannastick seems to be a very good value.

  8. Cannastick is a complete scam. The product isn't too bad until you find out it burns through a waxomizer a day, and that the customer support doesn't even respond to you. The oil tank wick comes unraveled and burns, and everything looks like it was made in China. Even the reviews are moderated so you can't say anything bad. Definitely looks like a suspicious scam operation.

  9. Never buy from this shitty company. Low quality products, over priced, and run by a total moron.

I received my cannastick mini after a month of trying to track its whereabouts.
Finally received it and realized that i can get the same thing at a local shop for way cheaper.

So i read the return policy, if you have not used/nor opened the product and ship all included accessories, you will receive a full money back guarantee...but you have to ship at your own expense.

So i shipped the damn thing back to Cali. And they ship it back to me without even opening the package.

I called and talked to probably the biggest douche bag known in the state of California, and He was the one who said, "Yes its my company, and once you ship the product and provide proof of shipment, we will send you your money". Every single word out of that dicks mouth was a lie, i never received a penny. and had to keep the piece of shit they called a vaporizer. LOL

    Fucking plugs.

NEVER BUY FROM LOW QUALITY CANNASTICK. YOU WILL REGRET IT. GO DIRECTLY TO A LOCAL SHOP AND ASK FOR QUALITY OR ORDER FROM WELL KNOWN BRAND NAME COMPANIES. NOT SOME LOW LIFE MIDNIGHT IDEA OF A COMPANY CANNASTICK IS.

Worst online buying experience of my life. fckin joke.

Oh & ontop of that, the damn piece of shit didnt even vape the herb. (Cannastick MINI Dry Herb Starter Kit).

  10. This whole thread is a scam.

He's a long time member, he's had his account open since February 2nd, 2007 and has 213 posts. You need to chill out my friend because he's just helping people pick a vaporizer and is definitely not a shill. You may not agree with what vaporizer he's recommending to others but that does not give u the right to be an asshole to him about it. And also, please show me how you KNOW he's a medical patient. Do you know this guy personally? How do you know he's not suffering from cancer or some terrible disease and is using weed to help get him through the pain? Hopefully this makes u realize how absurd you sound.

  12. Andddddd I just realized those posts were from 2013/14. Now I'm the one who looks stupid haha....

  13. Okay there bud, u obviously work for Cannastick, or are banging the owner. i have the 710 pen and the shitty Cannastick dry herb pen. and its the exact same shitty quality they use in fcking china. worse garbage products ive seen in the cannabis products market.
ONCE AGAIN, DONT EVER BUY FROM CANNASTICK. THEY WILL FCK YOU OVER BIG TIME.

    Nice try tho Donny.

  14. Nah man, youre not, youre smart for researching their shit products before you waste your ,money on them lol.

buy one from a well known and reccomended company.

Actually its a great way to let the public know about the scam of a company "Cannastick" is.
Good one tho, nice way to try to throw everyone off.

  16. 100% exactly same thing that happened to me. thats what im talking bout, thanks buddy.
    thanks for being honest.

  17. You're a scam.

  18.
Now why would you say that?

  19. I've personally owned several vape pens, constantly searching for the best portable dry herb pen.
(I have the GPen Floral right now, might stick with this one)
I also sell Cannastick products as well as all of the other vaporizers you can think of.
I am in no way biased towards their products but I feel like I should address a few concerns.

    1. They are located in Colorado (not California) and ship USPS 2-3 Day Priority Mail, FREE Shipping.
    2. Their customer support is actually pretty good coming from someone who deals with all the companies you can think of. (Cookies SF is the worst) They have live chat on their site and usually respond immediately if they are open.
    3. They're not Chinese. They are assembled in America and their company is entirely American.
    4. Most, if not all at this point, of their products have a microUSB port on the end of the vape pen allowing you to "vape" while you charge.

    Pros: Affordable, American, Easy-to-use
Cons: Performance can be improved, parts are sensitive.

If you check comparison reviews on YouTube and elsewhere you will notice the coils are actually tightly fashioned and perform too-well (I will explain); compared to Chinese coils where you can see visible soldering points and loose coils.

The GlassRx isn't really a "vape" pen. It's more like a portable pipe with a built in lighter. You can pack about .5gram of herbs and instead of vaping the herbs and producing vapor and burns the herbs and produces clouds of smoke. Not necessarily something you can get away with in public or at the movies. Within a couple of sessions the herbs are burned. The coil heats up pretty fast and gets hot.

One issue we had with customers was that they would scrape the coil after using it and obviously this would ruin the coil so they would say "oh this pen doesn't work, It charges but doesn't work" So they would buy a new (5) pack of coils for $20 or we would usually hook them up.

The best vape pen they have currently is the Digital Compass. It has the newest parts and actually vapes your herbs. It's small, discreet and has a nice clean design. This is something you can get away with having in public. It produces vapor and doesn't burn your herbs like a pipe. Similar to the G-Pen I have now, internally, but nicer cosmetically.

As far as people getting made that all vape pens look the same. Yeah, they might at first but when you look at a car you can make the same assumptions. It's just a car. It looks like a car. This is a fairly new industry and it's a very competitive one at that. A car is a car, until you check what's under the hood. These pens look the same because they are all vape pens. But you can tell the difference between each brand. Also, any company that is located in America gets +1 points for me.

Personally I would have to say the best vape pen out there is the GPen so far, but the model I have now is almost a year old so they've probably improved since then.

Overall: The Cannsticks are actually pretty nice IMO. Perfect for beginner vape pen users since they are definitely affordable, they perform well and what they lack in performance they make up in affordable replacement parts. Plus they are an American company. You might end up wanting to upgrade if you start off with the GlassRx though, for dry herb pens I would recommend upgrading to the Cannastick Compass or the G Pen Floral. The Snoop Dogg G Pen is pretty much the same thing as the GlassRx except the parts cost more, are harder to come across (if you want the Snoop Dogg edition), and the pen itself costs 2x more.
