I hate to hijack but will 5000k not do well at all? I went to home depot, lowes and walmart today and all the daylight bulbs are 5000k, couldnt find one freakin' 6500k.
Look at the chart on the first page of this thread I post about Chlorophyll activity %'s based on color temperature. 5000k according to that chart would give 8-12% chlorophyll activity and with it only being CFLs that will keep them alive and they will barely grow. I recommend ordering bulk online. Its cheaper, walmart and home depot over charge for bulbs. distributors online provide better spectrums sometimes too. I'd stick to 6500k though. Also try checking your local supermarkets too IE: Shoprite, Kroger, Publix etc. Sometimes they have the right ones. you might pay more but thats just another place to look
